The Obama Record

Very few people will take the time to read this Blue Oregon list, much less go to the trouble to confirm what it claims. Most will scan it; liberals will reach for the sky in praise, conservatives will reach for the Pepto-Bismol.

And the truth lays somewhere in the middle.

Yep, the truth is liberals won't reach for the sky in praise, they'll drop to their knees and pray. Conservatives won't reach for the Pepto-Bismol, except to refill the two Pepto-Bismol IV bags they're already got dripping it.

Here is some truth for you.

Obama is a one term kinda guy:D

Don't be too sure. Unlike the case with Carter, Obama has countless millions of supporters who are absolute racists or far too ignorant to vote or in many cases both. He will find it far easier to win, even though an absolute failure, than he should.

So with his millions of non-voting ignorant fans, how does he get elected?

See Leo, you may disagree with me and many do here, but it isn't his non-voting ignorant fans or his racist voting fans that will matter in 2012, it is the lack of balls that the republicans have to actually campaign as if it was the most important election ever held. With the advice given to them a number of times, they went ahead and acted as if this was 2004.

Many will complain and cry about how he has done this or that but without those voted from those republicans in congress, he can't do a thing but they amazingly voted for a lot of things - like the stimulus, like the budget and fall into place when he asked them to and are going to again with this debt limit.

I wasn't clear. They vote. They are just too ignorant to be voters. And yes, the republicans are STUPID for running McCain and possibly will be equally stupid again. They are also stupid for not running ads that HAMMER the PRO's and grind them to a pulp.

The GOP is running a few ads, but they had better keep their powder dry until the actual campaign starts. Hopefully, they'll have better sense than to spend all their money and effort beating each other up in the primaries.

As the pols grapple with the abhorrent idea of actually having to spend less of the people's money, the president continues to champion his agenda of unlimited spending while trying to add the knockout punch - higher taxes - to an economy already on the ropes. To see where we might be headed if he gets re-elected, it might be a good idea to see where he's taken us so far. Simply put, the plain numbers and facts tell us more than the flowery, teleprompter-aided speeches coupled with the excuses and cover-ups provided by his willing accomplices in the mainstream media.

To summarize, Investors.com compiled the following list of indicators that have gotten worse during the Obama era:

  • There are 2 million fewer private-sector jobs now than when Obama was sworn in, and the unemployment rate is 1.5 percentage points higher.
  • There are now more long-term unemployed than at any time since the government started keeping records.
  • The U.S. dollar is more than 12% weaker.
  • The number of Americans on food stamps has climbed 37%.
  • The Misery Index (unemployment plus inflation) is up 62%.
  • And the national debt is about 40% higher than it was in January 2009.

This is what happens when a gullible American public blindly follows the lead of the MSM and votes for "Hope & Change" instead of seriously examining the record (or lack thereof) of the most inexperienced and unqualified candidate ever offered by one of the two major parties of American politics. Couple that with his radically liberal agenda supported by a liberal Democrat majority in both houses of congress for his first two years, and we begin to see why the above numbers got where they are today. The United States economy simply cannot survive another four years under the stewardship of a state senator from IL masquerading as its President. If this were any other president, he would be forced out like LBJ was due to being totally unelectable. Instead, the MSM continues to cover for him in spite of the damage he inflicts on the country. When election time draws closer and the public starts to evaluate to his record in office, they will likely realize they've been living under the worst president in the country's history.

Just to be fair, alot of these things were already heading in the wrong direction when he took office, maybe you can post the numbers of what was going on when he took office, juat a thought.

Oh I see, I get it.

So those who voted for obama are ignorant or racist, the other ones who voted for McCain are equally stupid and may be again.

See here is my problem with all of this, I mention this to Tallcal a few times that the real ignorance and stupidity is with the hatred of the person in office, not with anything else and while I try to think outside the proverbial box, I sometimes can't see what drives this stupidity and idiocy of some to perpetuate the hatred when things don't go their way - maybe it is that ignorance ans stupidity of following the crowds and wanting to belong to a group to make them feel their lives are not all that worse off than others, I am only guessing.

From my point of view, the republicans are as much to blame as the democrats and not one of the mainstream politician in the running for the primary is worth my time to listen to them because they compromised their integrity and principles to make it up the ladder. These are the same people who are screaming about Obama BUT have yet to point out any solutions or stand by them. As I said I already know about him, he is a marxist and has been moving the country into a fascist state with the help of the republicans but I want to know what these republicans are going to do as president (which isn't much because presidents don't make laws or fund programs or a whole bunch of other things) and what their plans are to get things passed and fixed - which they have yet mentioned or introduced in congress where many of them reside.

So to me Leo, there is ignorance on every side (republican and democrat), the stupidity is thinking that the president is the only person in play here and the obvious is the republican party is not going to win unless something seriously happens to the economy. BUT I feel that the true ignorance is not knowing what the president can or can't do and what is more important in our lives, the local, state and then congressional representatives in that order. We seem to think that our superstar president is just that, a gift from God and it is his will that we must follow. THAT wasn't the intent of the founding fathers, the president wasn't that important than and he really isn't now but we make him that way because we need an American Idol.

Kind of sad that so much effort is used to point out the obvious with Obama as it was used to hate Bush, maybe we need to step beyond that and use that energy to send a message to congress who has the real power?

I don't hate Obama the person. I do hate his policies and his politics as well as his actions and inaction depending on the situation. I'm not enthusiastic over the republicans either. Yes, McCain voters were stupid for voting for a closet democrat who was past his time. McCain is a C-/D+ kind of guy and while that is undesirable it is less so than the D-/F joke we have now.

It would be fantastic if we could get a 9x% turnover in both houses but that will never happen since districts are drawn to support racism and/or ignorance and/or welfare/entitlements guaranteeing perpetual occupancy by idiots like SJL or the woman from FL or guys like Weiner if they keep it in their pants.

There are far too many, including a few we hear from now and then, who see and hear no evil about their evil liberal candidates. The same can be said for some of the people who have less so but still evil candidates on the supposedly conservative side. The difference is you'll find many more Bush people saying he was bad sometimes on some issues than you will Obama people who are fully koolaided.

Well it doesn't look like that at times. Regardless if you are going to complain about his policies and politics with the same tone as those who spoke about bush, it is the same thing to many of us who are sitting on the fence watching it all happen.

I'm not enthusiastic over the republicans either.

Well maybe there is a serious need to be critical of the party that supposedly represents your political views instead of worrying about what the liberals or dems or 'barry' does. I mean the republicans are the same as the dems and they want you and others like you to stay focused on what others do and not them so they can do what "they" feel is needed to advance their cause.

Yes, McCain voters were stupid for voting for a closet democrat who was past his time. McCain is a C-/D+ kind of guy and while that is undesirable it is less so than the D-/F joke we have now.

Well I guess I'm also stupid because I voted for a republican ticket due to the fact that Palin was there. I wasn't a BIG fan of hers and became tired of her style of politics, but McCain was a sellout and he has insulted the country and the people more than once.

Well the problem is people don't get the idea that the representation they have is not the president but their congressman and senator. They can and do vote their pocket book so this means that if they can get on welfare, so be it but regardless it isn't a race, welfare, entitlement thing but an education thing and I have not seen many speak about their own people as i have with Obama.

But Leo, you seem to understand it to a point. I view a lot of conservatives as evil, especially those religious one who sound different but will do what ever it takes to force their agenda onto others with the same type of kookaide drinkers following one or another. Bush was bad on a lot of issues but his defenders are the same as those Obama defenders when taken in context of the issue.

Right now the problem isn't the past, it is the future. 2012 is a different election than 2004 or even 2008. There is a weak president with a strong backing on one side and no one who can come up with a unified front against him from the other side. The real issue with the republicans is the same problem the dems had in 2004 and again in 2006, election, they were trying to become a party for everyone and not really succeeding in anything. NOW with the dems themselves (WITH a number of republicans) saying the rnc needs to make a decision who to back and run with them, it is a different election already. While it may sound great to think that the people need to speak in picking the candidate, it will be the downfall of the RNC in this election because many are just tired and want someone to take a stand.

Wouldn't it be great when the congress can actually meet without his input and come with something on their own.

I can help them with a few cuts, shut down the Commerce Department, EPA, Education, SBA and Energy for starters.

The guy that said this should be president!!!...Oh wait he is, I guess it only applies when it is a Republican president. :(

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

No, Americans are getting exactly what they deserve. They keep voting in the same type of person every election. It is all our own fault. We have allowed this to happen. Only WE can stop it.

That might have been a legitimate point six months after BHO took office, but reality has left it in the dust. The Obama policies own the economy now, and even some of his minions have admitted it. All these figures are the result of policies that have been implemented on his watch and have had time to take effect. The Democrats can no longer blame their problems on Bush.

In spite of that reality, I was listening on one of the XM news channels this morning conducting a segment with Democrat and GOP spokesmen presenting their respective viewpoints, and the Democrat tried to claim that the current economic situation could be blamed on "Reagan and the two Bushes". Needless to say he was ridiculed for being the fool that he indeed was - but he was a prime example of how the Democrat spokesmen have no limits to the stuff they'll try to present as excuses for the failures of their economic policies. Barack Hussein Obama finally has a record for all to see - and it sucks.
