The Obama Record

As the pols grapple with the abhorrent idea of actually having to spend less of the people's money, the president continues to champion his agenda of unlimited spending while trying to add the knockout punch - higher taxes - to an economy already on the ropes. To see where we might be headed if he gets re-elected, it might be a good idea to see where he's taken us so far. Simply put, the plain numbers and facts tell us more than the flowery, teleprompter-aided speeches coupled with the excuses and cover-ups provided by his willing accomplices in the mainstream media.

To summarize, Investors.com compiled the following list of indicators that have gotten worse during the Obama era:

  • There are 2 million fewer private-sector jobs now than when Obama was sworn in, and the unemployment rate is 1.5 percentage points higher.
  • There are now more long-term unemployed than at any time since the government started keeping records.
  • The U.S. dollar is more than 12% weaker.
  • The number of Americans on food stamps has climbed 37%.
  • The Misery Index (unemployment plus inflation) is up 62%.
  • And the national debt is about 40% higher than it was in January 2009.

This is what happens when a gullible American public blindly follows the lead of the MSM and votes for "Hope & Change" instead of seriously examining the record (or lack thereof) of the most inexperienced and unqualified candidate ever offered by one of the two major parties of American politics. Couple that with his radically liberal agenda supported by a liberal Democrat majority in both houses of congress for his first two years, and we begin to see why the above numbers got where they are today. The United States economy simply cannot survive another four years under the stewardship of a state senator from IL masquerading as its President. If this were any other president, he would be forced out like LBJ was due to being totally unelectable. Instead, the MSM continues to cover for him in spite of the damage he inflicts on the country. When election time draws closer and the public starts to evaluate to his record in office, they will likely realize they've been living under the worst president in the country's history.

If you let someone else do all the work, and you're just showing the fruits of their labor as your own - congratulations! You are qualified to be a journalist for the msm. :D

One minor flaw... the CBO states the medicare trust fund will be exhausted by 2020. Umm... you first have to have a trust fund. If there ever was one, Congress raided it long ago.

And yet there are still gullible people blindly praising the failure in chief, including some of our own.

If we would have only elected McCain things would be different... Really???

Just more evidence that supporting either of these two parties just get us to misery!!!

What evidence? You don't know what McCain would've done. You're only guessing. The people voted for hope and chains, not groans and bones.

It's really astounding at how blindly some people heap praise on this guy. He even gets credit for things he had nothing to do with, things that Congress did on their own, or snapshots in time that make him look good. These people are absolutely delusional.

"This president who so many have given up on has done more good for the nation than any president since FDR."

Obama's Accomplishments - BlueOregon (do not click this on a full stomach)

"An impressive list of stellar policy accomplishments for which we, the American People, should applaud him."

"In spite of all these achievements by President Obama’s administration, the Republicans and most Americans claim that HE is the one that has created the problems that face the country today. How appalling!"

McCain is as liberal of a Republican as they come. He is also part of the majority base of the Republican party. Either way we would have gotten something much worse than Bush, and that in it self should be an embarrassment to the Republicans, yet they turned out in mass to vote for him.

We all know what we get when we give Democrats power. But when we give the Republicans power, it is a crap shoot, and it hasn't been a good bet in 30 years at least...

So when you complain about Obama, just remember that if the Republicans weren't such liars, and sold out to the lobbyists and pork, Obama would probably still be in Chicago...

The problem is Carter was worthless but the lazy, ignorant, deadbeats of society that suck on the government boob still voted to reelect the jokester.
Thank goodness that didn't happen.
Now we have those same boob lickers and their radical off spring that will vote for Obama for more of that government juice.
Afterall, they feel we owe them something.
This time I will support the hope and change.
I hope obama gets booted out where this once great nation can change away from his destructive economic policies.

Nowhere in this post do I even remotely represent this info as my own. The first sentence of the second paragraph plainly attributes the summary statistics to Investors.com and the link to the full article is at the bottom of the bullet points. Same goes for the "By The Numbers" stats - the link to the article follows the quotes in blue font. Since there might have been some margin for misunderstanding, I went back and labeled the links as sources. However, I will take credit for surfing the web for about 10 min., putting the post together and adding my 2 cents worth.

One additional comment: overwhelming as the list of Obama economic failures might be, keep in mind that his foreign policy messes would be just as bad. That would be good subject matter for another post.

Very few people will take the time to read this Blue Oregon list, much less go to the trouble to confirm what it claims. Most will scan it; liberals will reach for the sky in praise, conservatives will reach for the Pepto-Bismol.
