The new extended Nissan NV

Well, Nissan is going to give us an extra 20 inches of cargo space when they get the new extended version out sometime next year. Is that going to be enough extra room to satisfy expediters, 140 inch load floor?

Do they have something against 144?....

For me? No way. I do see some of the current models on the road though, so I guess it works for somebody.

I don't know why they aren't going more than 20" longer unless that's the most they can do without modifying the wheelbase? I know an authorized upfitter who has seen and measured the long version and knows it is 20" longer than the current version.

They work if you believe in the 12 foot myth.....
will it be 12'? I thought the current models barely had 8' ?

I still say 13' minimum or I'll just go to the other options available. There are plenty of other options with more length so, unless the price or fuel mileage is a lot better, I would have no reason to even look at it.

Current one has I think 10' to the back of seats. They are larger than they look.

I guess there is another way to look at it....they may get up to speed with the competition as quick as Ford does...and Chevy apparently doesnt even know there in a competition...lol

A look at those photos reveals a severe problem, in my never-to-be-humble opinion. If you ever put heavy freight on the tail, it will throw the van out of balance pretty severely. I'd like to see the wheelbase lengthened to account for the extra length-- it gives better support.

Otherwise-- no doubt it improves the van's ability to hold more than two skids, or to handle two skids and let you have room forward for your sleeping area.

That is a very cool conversion. Nissan would do well to study those pics...if they are real (not photo shopped). I would call total bs on the mpg claim though.
