The tough part is the office that operates the smaller trucks is independent of us and I'm getting a lot of "egg in my face".

We had a amazing 1st quarter(overall) as I'm sure everyone had and everyone knows this industry is a out of control roller coaster.

As there are always 2 sides to every story, I hope that there where good reason to "relieve" them of their position. Our cargo vans are not under contract and run for multiple companies. And if these contractors would like to call and discuss the reason they where relieved I hope they do.

I quite correctly predicted that his little expedite venture would bomb, lol.

Hey little bigman at .85 cents a mile you can't afford to take anything under 400 miles .....tell that to your friends at the company . By the way I like my name so much I'm going to start referring to you as jerry if you don't mind ....

Only if I can call you Larry. You still threatening bookeepers with Death? And a thirteen mile run that pays 65-100 bucks, dont seem too bad to me. quit thinking in terms of miles. Think in terms of revenue.

Ok, this is enough! Jerry, you where terminated for threatning women so we know where you stand, Lisa woohoo, your man was terminated because he only wanted part-time work. Nothing personal.

As far as anyone goin any farther on this post will only show your ignorance.

It is normal for a carrier to "clean house" when it slows down or the contractor isnt working out. So what!! Nothing new, post something with some meaning for once. Like Bin Laden getting shot in the face, now that was cool!

I opened the other office because my cargo vans where successful working directly for me, however, on a large scale this side of the industry is screwed. Only because I refuse to work cheap, but larger carriers will do their best to screw the little guy. Our .85 was put in play to be able to get work. That's the only reason I decided not to charge fees. How can you make 85cents a mile and pay charges? that's rediculous. So it did'nt work for everyone me included.

I rather not pay 85cents a mile. I think $1.25 is fair, but to operate 32 vans theirs no way.

And I do not advocate anyone from my company coming on here to argue or for that matter make matters worse. This situation is what it is and cannot be changed. Some contractor like it here,some do not. That's fine.

And I don't follow what our other office is doing. I left it to them, I have to manage my larger trucks, which I must say are still somewhat happy. And I don't charge them a dime either.

Let's face it, it's slow, and we all should work together. I'm not going to participate in this "slamming" from anyone. J D Clark employees included. Let's hope we all get back to working more so we have less time to spend on this assinine threads.

I would love to hear that recording myself and I would love for you to play the recording for anyone on the e o and not for your stooges ...let's see I never got terminated I quit .after I didn't g....et paid for more than 6 weeks ...I take it you didn't have the money to payit took you 6 weeks to pay me for my loads

And I did give you the opportunity to stop by and get a check until yours was found, did I not? Cause that was when you told me you would stop by a show me your bank statements that you had 500k in the bank which I also told you I could care less.
