The Good Times Thread.. or What are you thankful for?

Please use this thread to post what you are THANKFUL for in Expediting?

Me, I'm glad I have a job! The income may not be as much as it was... but I have several family members who are layed off right now from their 'good, responsible, benefit paying jobs'' who would LOVE to have the income I do. They have no idea when they'll work again.

Therefore, I'm very thankful for Expediting, and the income it provides. Even with just a run or two a week, it pays better than unemployment!

C'mon folks, lets' give some thanks, and give up a few positive vibes!

Credit to Big John for the idea!

I am thankful for the drivers that I have right now. They are some of the best that I've had in a L-O-N-G time....great work ethics, great attitudes, great personalities, and just all around great people. Oh..by the way...did I say they were great?! :)

I'm thankful to have found a community. It doesn't matter how scattered we are across the country, compassion is always a phone call or keystroke away. Makes me sorry for people who work jobs.

I am thankful for the opportunity to work right along side my better half. We have been blessed with a good truck owner, great equipment and a company that's been fair with us.
We've also been blessed with great friends on and off the forum and hope to meet many more. Now if we could just make it to the Expo this year.....

By the way....great idea for a thread! The power of positive thinking.:)

I'm thankful for you, Dreamer! You are willing to take a chance and learn as you go. You stand up for what's right and you try to be fair with the rules.

I'm so thankful for EO!
1. Without EO I would never have met the Caffee's who have helped us along the way.
2. Without EO I would not have had so many laughs from Cheri & Moot.
3. Without EO I wouldn't have learned from Cheri that popcorn is a food group and you can put the bag under the carpet in the sleeper and it pops!! I'm not sure if that is really true but it's a great story!
4. Without EO we wouldn't have had such great advice from people we trust to help us through the tough times.
5. Without EO I wouldn't have had a community of ladies who do what I do and who share ideas about meals and other unique issues we have.
6. Without EO I wouldn't have even known you can cook almost anything in a rice cooker!

Like pelicn, I am also thankful to spend my days right alongside my much better half.

A year ago, I was a struggling mortgage broker, landlord, and home remodeler.

I am now an expediter. I am a scant two weeks into this profession, and am having the time of my life! My wife is also thrilled, and we're doing and seeing things we may never have before meeting this way of life.

I am also thankful for EO, as a great place to meet people (I met two posters in person last weekend), share ideas, and yes, sometimes commiserate.

Keep on truckin'.

My wife and I decided to reduce the stress in our lives and find something that we could do together.

Expediting provided the perfect solution.

It is simply unbelievable that we were able to step into someone else's $200,000.00 piece of equipment and have the resources of a multi-billion dollar company at work for us.

We are thankful that her income has been replaced, that we have been able to see the country and visit friends, that we have been able to make new friendships, that we have grown even closer and that we have a forum of good people to turn to for help along the way.

I feel very humbled.

I am very thankful for my wife, family and friends. They all have been very helpful in this endeavor. My wife has been a great asset in running our business. I am also very thankful for the team that is driving our truck. They are very professional, have great attitudes, take very good care of the truck and equipment and are a lot of fun to be around. They make very good business decisions and make it easy for us on this end. They have been with us for about 2 years and I hope they will be around for many more.

There is so much to be thankful for Great Thread.
Watching the sun come up and go down each and every day well ok the days it is not snowing
Not being stuck in our old 9 to 5 jobs
Having a paid for truck
Finding EO and being able to participate in the threads good and bad
Over the years we have met so many people from here that have become very dear friends and way too many to list
Lawrence and Debbie at the EO offices and Dale or Dreamer as the administrator here
The information we gain from this site to help us have a better business
The information we gain on upcoming law changes that affect our business
The fun we have when we meet a new “screen name” and can put a face to name
The excitement we feel when something good happens to one of the forum members
Setting the computer on the steering wheel first thing in the morning, turning it on, grabbing a cup of coffee to catch up on my EO reading
Getting a PM from someone who rarely posts or does not post saying thank you for something I have posted
Walking out to the truck and seeing Molly’s little face sitting in the seat watching for us
Like Pelicn said getting in a truck and finding out that after twenty years of marriage we really are getting to know each other and finding out you love them and trust them with your life more than ever

Hope the good times keep on coming!
