Why is everyone so negative on the Forums today

Surely this person has as much right as you do to say whatever they feel like saying, no matter whether they are new to EO or not.

Agreed - I'm all for a good debate. But, as always, in my humble opinion, this is not debating the point stated, it is more like a personal attack on the person posting.

I don't happen to agree...

Anyone can say anything...and be equally criticized for their opinions....no side is exempt....you get your say and take a beating and you also can hand it right back....only problem is you are out numbered....

BTW I've taken many a beatings for my liberal beliefs and coming from a so called socialist country...but here I am..and I enjoy the banter....

Not a personal attack by any means. Just plain old facts that any one can look up and find the info on. Now if I was to call him a name or something, that would be a personal attack.

Oh BTW freedom of speech goes both ways. Its one of the many reasons I came to this country.

again I agree, if you pose a question, you are liable for comebacks which might not be your view. That is what makes a good debate.

What I disagree with is the use of the change of the poster's name - which btw I notice is now being used in a totally different Forum - that is sad.

Also the fact that the poster is new here, only a couple posts etc etc - what has that got to do with anything.
