Stupid things drivers believe.

"You are the only truck in the area that can do the load." Usually they resort to this when there is a really crappy load they need to get rid of. They forget that we have phones and QualComms that we can check.

Or how about when a dispatcher will call you with a load, talking a mile a minute, babbling incoherently, about how there is no time to write down all the load info, just the pickup info,so you get to the pickup and get loaded and THEN get the rest of the info, only to find out youre average road speed is like 67.8 mph for the run, and on top of that, you got really screwed on the pay!! Sound familiar, Cheri ? lol.
You left out the part about not even hitting the bathroom before leaving, risking a speeding ticket enroute, and then hearing the load isn't "quite" ready yet. It's finally loaded just ahead of when detention would start - 2 hrs down the drain. [And you didn't even nap, bc they kept saying 'a few more minutes']
Days of our lives, eh? And yet, we continue to love what we do - crazy! :D

This is not a job, but an adventure...like a box of chocolates, right? A love-hate relationship.

"This is a red hot load, you must pick it up ASAP", then you get to the shipper and it's not even ready
Or you get to the Consignee and they aren't even expecting it till the next day:confused:
