Frankly, I thought all states already restricted ephedrine or pseudoephedrine products. I used to have sinus problems all the time and used Sudafed a lot. Used to buy 2-4 packages a month. Then (at least in KY) you had to go the pharmacist and get if from him/her in exchange for giving them you name. I didn't object to tracking pseudoephedrine or giving my name, as much as I did having to go through the extra steps to buy a single pack of the stuff. I switched to Benadryl (diphenhydramine hydracloride) and it works just as well.

Back when I had sinus problems, it was also when I was working for Olan Mills and was not only in constant contact with the public (families and their snot-nosed kids), but I was in a motel room 4-6 nights a week. When I left that and started expediting, my sinus problems all but disappeared. Now I go through a 24-pill package of Benadryl once every 6 months or longer.

I do think trying to control pseudoephedrine sales is not unlike gun control. Controlling both doesn't eliminate their nefarious use by nefarious people, but it does put barriers toward people with no iniquitous intentions.

I tend to survive just fine by not worrying about what was, but rather by moving forward. My country seems to have the same philosophy by and large, and we are doing quite well. I just think it's funny that first you, and then Leo (both mods), are doing these "I'm not gonna say" posts. I don't think you have a clue as to who this secret savior (sic) might be...

Secret Savoir? I only know of ONE Savoir and the exact time and date of His second coming is NOT known to man, and is no secret.

You can believe what ever you like. I don't believe that we, the United States, are moving "forward". I believe that we are moving backwards, to where we were when we through off the rule of the rule and control of the incest infested families of Europe. Away from freedom and the idea that the PEOPLE control the government, NOT the other way around.

As I said, you can accept and live with what ever controls and restrictions you like. I don't have to here if I choose not too. Our countries have somewhat similar histories but our dreams, where different. In many ways, they still are.

This country was founded by liberals. It was an extremely radical, liberal idea, that Man was meant to control his own destiny and NOT be ruled or controlled. Too bad we have seemingly given up on those liberal ideas and are reverting to the age old ideas that the few can, and should, rule and control the many.

By the way, ONE person in here sent me a PM more than two months ago with the correct name of the human being that I would like to see run. (NOT Leo)

The control of the nefarious uses by nefarious people is the ruse that government uses to convince weak minded people to abandon their rights and accept the control of an elite government that knows better than they what is right.

I would say weak-minded people are around 45%. Once they reach 51%, game over.

Sarah Palin and Glen Beck as the V.P.

Did I win?

You should be on Saturday Night Live, how funny can you get?

Besides, you seem to ignore what I said. This person is highly educated, has tons of experience in the private, public and educational sectors. Has extensive experience with both large budgets and large work forces. This person has NEVER held elected office. This person has served in the military as well. This person is well respected by both supporters and those who don't support.

I will give you my pick for VP. Jack Dalrymple.

Seriously?

Where did you get that from?

I saw his picture and it looks like he is some sort of kid who just stolen a cookie from the cookie jar ... OK I admit the picture was a bad one but still coming from a state that has a population less than Detroit (present census), where is his experience in governing large populations?

I'll take that as a no.

You seem to ignore the fact that, nobody wants to play your guessing game.

It's ideas I am after. He has far more experience in governing than Obama did when he was elected, AND unlike Obama, HIS is successful! State in the black, taxes going down, unemployment going down, like the small government approach. Knows how to deal with an oppressive federal government and not be controlled by it. Respects the idea that PEOPLE are better off when they are left alone by government.

What was Obama's experience in governing large populations? What experience did Obama have in ANYTHING of value? Other than looking down on his subjects?

Besides, he is my VP choice NOT my choice for president. I bet you if he had control in Detroit he could straighten it out. Then again, I bet I could.

I don't care, I am playing. I am having fun. I don't care if anyone else does. I got nothing better to do.

None of these statements comes as a surprise, [we've heard them all before], but when a moderator hijacks a thread to play his own 'guessing game', [again] I gotta ask WTH?
Seriously: is it ok to be rude just because YOU have nothing better to do?
I would be annoyed to read those comments from anyone - if you 'don't care', why are you here? - but from a moderator?!

Now tell me it's just joking, [hahaha] and it's 'British humor', right?
Sorry, not buying it. The least you could do is start another thread to keep yourself entertained - hijacking is bad form. [That's British for RUDE]

On topic: I rarely buy sinus medication, and it seems ludicrous to present ID for just the one package I want. I understand the production of meth requires large quantities of psuedoephedrine, so why target people who are buying a single box? If the amateur chemists can only get one without ID, they will be too busy shopping to make the stuff!
Another poorly considered law, which is beginning to seem like the only kind our 'representatives' can manage.:(

You sure like to get personal, don't you? What do I post, on thread or not, in this forum that does NOT annoy you? I know, I have a good heart.

The thread morphed ages ago. So sorry I cannot be perfect, just human.

They target law abiding citizens because it is ONLY about government control, NOT solving the drug problem. The prison industry is HUGH and remember, many of our "lawmakers" are lawyers, more business for their buddies. Talk about greed. Greed for power, greed for control AND greed for money. And people like to complain about "RICH" people being greedy.

Back to the subject:rolleyes:
We had a local radio personality here, that was arrested because she had bought too much(in the eyes of the government and the law)Sudafed. She took the Sudafed due to allergies. These laws are stupid and the people buying the Sudafed to make Meth or whatever else they use it for are going to find other ways to get it, meanwhile innocent citizens like myself can't buy Sudafed, Nyquil etc without signing something and being treated like a criminal.

MAYBE our useless government should be back to the Constitution and quit dictating to people what they can or cannot do with their own body!!!

If you are STUPID enough to do meth, too bad. Commit a crime to support your STUPIDITY, it's jail baby and you better hope that they guy you rob is not armed. Do dumb stuff, you get what is coming to you.

Get blown up cooking this stuff? GOOD!!! Hope you died. I just hope that you did not hurt a innocent in the process.
