The last place I fuel is at is pilot or the hook because fuel prices re to high.. I now go to the gym if I need a shower, plus I can work out a little.. For 40 bucks a month I have a membership at LA fitness. For 330 I can get a 2 year membership at 24 hour fitness if I want two different places for showers.

And how much extra fuel do you spend driving to that gym?

What is the fee at AF?

Between 30 and 40 per month + sign up fee that you can usually get waived or reduced(1year contract). Snap fitness is 30 per month with no contract, and would be my second option(no showers though). Planet Fitness would be my last choice , unless you plan to workout and shower during peak hours (not recommended) they are not 24 hrs, also, you only get 10 times per month to go to outside locations( not good if your a hardcore otr expediter that rarely goes home) . But I guess it could work, if you only go to gym 2-3 times a week, and are home every other week .But I like the convienance of working out whenever i want, sometimes at 3am, and its not as crowded. Some have limited bathroom showers, .There are almost 2000 AF locations , Snap Fitness 1500, Planet Fitness 750.

Less the a gallon in most cases and I also can work out. It's a win win..

Can't work out much right now because of a torn rotator cuff that might need to be fixed sometime this year.

That's less then I thought, but really when I think about it,it doesn't matter if you used more, the benefit to your health and well being is way worth it. Think of it as an investment in your future. Hope the injury heals soon.

Won't be fixing the shoulder till sometime in the summer if its not a major operation, but if its a major operation thin I'll wait till Nov. to get it done just because it will be 4 or 5 month of rehabilitation.

Getting to the gym is easy in most cases if you near a large metro area, sometime your not near a gym. Most of the time it's not a problem. If I drive 20 miles then it costs me a gallon of fuel or about 4 dollars.

No difference then looking for a Truck Stop. Ive never considered LA Fitness before, how does outside gyms treat you? Are they staffed 24hrs or do you have a key Fob? Do they all have saunas and pools?
