Oh, I dunno...many loads, at least in big trucks, are photographed before they leave for documentation purposes. So what's the difference? Why have only one record of events?

You know the problem with bad cops? They make the other 5% look bad.
I think this is apples and oranges IMO. Taking a picture of a product to show it's condition prior to shipping is different then filiming an encounter with an individual.
A shipper or consignee can be a pain in the rear for sure (some are great to work with let's not forget that). They can mistreat drivers, incorrectly load freight, damage our equipment...the list goes on.
But we are here to provide a service and get paid to do so. Part of the services we provide is "customer service". Just my .02, but I don't use carriers that would resort to do such things as it is considered unprofessional IMHO. If you can't trust your dispatch to correctly deal with these issues, afterall this is what they are paid to do then perhaps you should find another company to work with. As a company if I cannot trust a carrier or my driver to provide customer service and healthy interaction with the people on the docks, then I choose not to use thier services.
There is no right or wrong answer here, just a matter of personal opinion. If I took a poll of the company owners on EO knowing most of them, I would think they would prefer for this not to happen with any of thier customers as well.
