We wear the fatigues too at our facility. They're much more comfortable and breathable. Besides at these facilities it's dirty and dusty. We carry semi autos in a drop holster on our leg and carry shotguns.

That sounds like some bad a$$ $hite, there, son!!!!

I know!!! We started this week well and I really don't want to bail on it. I have a shower "handle" that's about to "go" so it's not like I don have a good reason.
Well, Sally and da babies are reason enough.
For some reason I'm missing them more today than usual. Maybe I'm menstrual.

Murray, there is nothing wrong with missing your family. I'm sure others that have families at home in a similar situation feel the same way. I know my days of expediting, Jackie hated me being gone and was never happier than seeing me park the van in the drive way. Was part of the reason I chose to deliver and just run back home. She hated me being on the road. You don't get rich doing that type of expediting but than again living in the Chicago metro area the freight lanes are plentiful. My only downfall was that I aligned myself with partner carriers that lacked finding loads for me out of state.

Hey Coalminer. You're right. We just spent 3 hours getting searched two different times and waiting forever to get unloaded. They were working a shutdown and place was rocking. Pretty impressive show of force "

Those barriers that drop into the ground are pretty impressive, for those that have not been there, they have 2 of these barriers that drop into the ground about 100 feet apart, these things look like they could stop a fully loaded 18 wheeler going 60mph. Makes you wonder what they have there that requires that security.

Picked up a load going to Roswell GA delivering Monday morning at 8am. I sure hope I don't sit there for days on end....

Yep, we have our moments when we rock but being that we're a closed (non operational) facility. We're not near as busy as the facility across the street from us, which is the oldest nuclear operating plant in the country. We get the occasional lost pizza delivery driver or lost expediter looking for the place across the street or the chemical plant down the road!

Trust me you don't wanna know what these places store!!!!! If people knew they probably wouldn't come on the site!
