Those paintings are pretty good. How long have you been painting?
Thanks TDave. Bought my first set of Oils, Brushes, French Easel in 2001 following my Mother's Death Nov. 2000. Vowed I wouldn't waste what she n Dad gave me genetically. Kinda fell away in 2008 and just this February began again.
Really enjoying it! You can veiw more on www.dailypaintworks.com. Insert my last name 'Zook' in the Orange search box.
Do you Paint?

A few companies have come to school and have given us prehire letters for once we finish but no firm suitors yet. I really like what I've heard from maverick and they seem to pay well about .50cpm within 6 months
That's really good! I shoulda gone with a different company like Rhoel sp? or Werner....at Six Months, driving Solo USXpress was still only paying me .27cpm. I called in said raise it or you lost a driver. $550 per week was ridiculous for what I was doing and them keeping me on short runs in Jersey!

did you get the smaller pulleys as well?....those are the real culprits at times....the life expectancy is real wide...
I change the all three plus belt every year....as a set and at the same time....never had a belt blow off on me yet....

Ok, yikes....I logged on to AutoHaus as this is where Wayne orders parts...typed in my Vehicle Model, Make Year and, not knowing there were more than one size/type of Tension Pulley ordered only One that was offered.

Flatbed freight can be challenging, especially tarpping and strapping in rain and snow. At least you won't have to deal with grocery houses.
True and maverick has a glass and a temp control division on top of their normal flatbed and I happen to live where they hire for all 3. I don't think I am located in regional flatbed which is okay and I know I'm not located in their specialized division requirements

Yeah we've had several companies that have come in that don't pay squat. We had USExpress come in a I believe while I was out and they folks in class said seemed ok but crappy pay. For $550 I'd rather take a local class B job or even the local class A jobs we have on the job board at school

I agree. Their Rep told us we'd be earning approx. $40K per year.
....but they didn't tell which year that would be. They just claimed "we'd be Tested"...meaning "Used". Avoid the HUGE Companies.
When they're there, ask specific questions, like what is my CPM when I leave my Trainer and get my own truck?
..even ok, after 6 months and where may I see that in writing.

That kit includes two big pulleys not the small non ribbed one. I'm not a big fan of the kit due to quality.
