I live in Berea ky but I'm 30 minutes from Lexington
I'm not remotely close to any of Mavericks terminals but only 5-6 hours from Nashville. I know watkin Shepard has a yard like 10 minutes from where I live and they have ads all over town for recent grads and experience drivers but I haven't heard anything about em really. Maverick called me today and informed me they're going to run my background info for the glass division and if it comes back clean which it should I'll get my prehire letterCompany I hear good things about, up in Findley, OH, is Garner. They do the inverter/APU thing, and run mainly regional. They will put you with a trainer for a bit.
Big G is one that would've been on my short list, if they hired in MI. You need 6 months, according to their site, but you can always call to see if they'll waive that. They have APUs, and are held in pretty high regard. They're out of Shelbyville, TN.
Maverick, you already know of.
If you lived near one of my company's yards, I'd recommend them. As is, you'd have to park the truck near Nashville, to take more than 4 days off. Less than 4, you can take it home.
Schneider has an anal "no phone" policy. You can't even talk on a headset while you're driving. Otherwise, they're ok.
Panther only needs 6mo exp.
All depends on what kind of work you want to do, and where you'd prefer to go. Let us know who you decide on, or if you'd like some help finding a good company.
Ah perfect, home just in time for kickoff.Ahhh ... loaded now and made a phone call .... Receiver is working overtime this weekend so i can unload Sat. am and then dh 220 miles home to Iowa .....
