I live in Berea ky but I'm 30 minutes from Lexington

Company I hear good things about, up in Findley, OH, is Garner. They do the inverter/APU thing, and run mainly regional. They will put you with a trainer for a bit.

Big G is one that would've been on my short list, if they hired in MI. You need 6 months, according to their site, but you can always call to see if they'll waive that. They have APUs, and are held in pretty high regard. They're out of Shelbyville, TN.

Maverick, you already know of.

If you lived near one of my company's yards, I'd recommend them. As is, you'd have to park the truck near Nashville, to take more than 4 days off. Less than 4, you can take it home.

Schneider has an anal "no phone" policy. You can't even talk on a headset while you're driving. Otherwise, they're ok.

Panther only needs 6mo exp.

All depends on what kind of work you want to do, and where you'd prefer to go. Let us know who you decide on, or if you'd like some help finding a good company.

I'm not remotely close to any of Mavericks terminals but only 5-6 hours from Nashville. I know watkin Shepard has a yard like 10 minutes from where I live and they have ads all over town for recent grads and experience drivers but I haven't heard anything about em really. Maverick called me today and informed me they're going to run my background info for the glass division and if it comes back clean which it should I'll get my prehire letter

Arrived home, pulled out my oil pans to catch the old oil and socket wrench to open her up and let that hot, filthy oil out.
Learned something new....AGAIN. Purchase an extra couple Drain Plug Bolts.
After 320K+ miles I kinda worn down the edges of the Drain Bolt. Secondly, I, yes, ME, over tightened
that Bolt at my last change which didn't help. I tried every tool I had in my garage to try to get that darned thing off! Don't do that Lisa, you could crack the Pan! Not necessary to tighten so much!!!
Probably will use a 'New Bolt' at about 150K from here on out.
Mr. Wayne Rodd, saved me today. He said "bring her over!".
He got that stripped bolt off for me and had a new one for me. He went ahead and drained it, new filter and filled it with his oil. He's a GodSend to me! I'm thankful. Drove home loaded up my cases of oil and a filter for him and slapped some greens in his hand. Saved by the Bell!....or Wayne. Phew!
