Everybody must remember that this is JULY folks and freight volumes are way down like in Jan. This just the way it is.
Now as towards the miles per week thingy, I don't worry about how many miles I run since my carrier pays me % of load. I look to a certain $ figure each week. Some weeks and some weeks less. That's what works for me. Oh ya "work smarter not harder."

I have a number I need to make each week, either I make it with one load or five, and I've only missed that number twice since March.

I cant speak for anyone, but for me when I get to the Expo show im looking for a company who looks at things like I do. Just like OVM says. Make More Drive Less!!

You have a Sprinter. Are you on the L1 waiting list?
Should that say....?
"Make More per loaded mile, Drive Less loaded miles". LOL!!

I gave Murray a guesstimate a few weeks ago that wasn't accurate. This is - When all miles driven are included, there's a one cent difference between my previous carrier and Crossroads Express. This, despite the loaded mile rate frequently being considerably less. I'm in a Sprinter, and used to get Sprinter rate on every load. Now do a lot of van loads at van rate.

So, where is the discrepancy made up ? I have drastically reduced unproductive DH miles. Murray and Sally have been very good with their chess moves !

Loaded miles per week ? No comparison; I was in a slow death spiral, now I've switched ignition systems and am gaining altitude ✈️

So, making virtually identical CPM on all miles as when at TS but getting a lot more miles? Excellent.

"DH Less %, Run smaller freight, Drive more paid miles, Make more"

I just got a Salem Indiana to Emporium PA load that pays over a $1 to my lowly ford van

That's great Jordan!!!! And how many weekdays did you just sit in Memphis? How many DH miles did you eat?
That's a good move! ;)

God knows our guys DH too. It happens. I will say that most of the DH mile % is when we just can't snag them one heading toward home when that's the target. I don't think I'm out of line saying that.

Yet, strangely enough our guys say they are making somewhere between more and a lot more per "all miles" than when they were at tier prior carriers.
Getting $1.20 per mile is great until you only run 700 miles a week.

Seems you tune has changed quite a but in the last couple of months. Sounds like someone replaced the coffee maker upstairs with a Kool Aid dispenser. LOL!!

Oh crap no..I am still with ya Murray...I was just pointing out the vagueness of your post is all....and of course the ever famous....Poke Poke.....LOL

Sure it's always nice to include relevant things like dh and loaded mile.

Turtle would know for sure, I'm guessing. But you wouldn't be posting anything damaging, I don't think.
And of course we only see your total revenue and loaded miles, per Google door to door. I always prefer the real-world numbers of all miles. Personal factors and preferences always affect them but that's what "all" is all about.

People post their numbers here all the time. Unfortunately, they tend to do it only when the numbers are either very, very good, or very, very bad.

Turned down load to Utah 1300 loaded miles @1.20 a mile plus 100$ for the 150 empty miles to the shipper.


Kinda hurts, but at home enjoying life, hopefully someone snagged that for the right rate..

To be honest had no choice
