The Tea Party holds most of the same virtues that Reagan had.
Having the same virtues and values is not the issue. It is the willingness to work with the opposition to find common ground that made Reagan attractive to the Reagan Democrats.

The big problem now is trying to figure out how to get moderates involved on election day. I think many have given up and are just fed up with the circus.

Back then Tip O'Neill and the Democrat opposition were also more willing to find common ground. That's not the case in this day and age. Compromise takes two participants; Obama and the Democrat leaders of today are rigid ideologues who believe compromise means the other party agrees to do things their way.

Nowadays, politicians at the national level are marked for defeat if they seek to work with an opposing party. There is no general consensus on common values shared by both major parties. There are no unifying principles. We don't even agree on what it means to be an American anymore. Ten years ago, this wasn't the case.

With the influx of millions of illegals now made legal from 100's of countries, the USA is now out of balance with way to many nationalities , all of which want the characteristics of their original country and want to fly the flag of their country, change our courts to match their original courts and so on and so on. Now we have so many not raised under the old USA, there is coming a time now where our military will be confused on why we are fighting for what reasons. Grumbling in the ranks?????????????????

The mainstream media and the fantasy PC society they portray on prime time shows is the primary factor in how the younger generation views what the USA stands for and what made it great. Combine this with the substandard public education they receive along with the liberal, socialistic indoctrination imposed by most teachers and it's no wonder we have kids getting expelled for wearing T-shirts with the American flag - all part of the "fundamental transformation" (which includes balkanizing the country) that was promised by Barack Hussein Obama and his radical left-wing cronies in the Democrat party. They have to be defeated in the presidential election of 2016, and this trend must be reversed. We're already seeing the repudiation of the radical left with recent elections held in state legislatures and governorships. However, the national Republican party MUST get it's act together and nominate a strong conservative candidate - not another mushy moderate from the "establishment" like McCain and Romney. They've had their chances and lost.

If the Reps want to win the White House, they MUST nominate a moderate. Somebody that will appeal to the masses not just the fringe right. Do this and Hillary looses big time.

A man or a woman that does run for POTUS, must be insane or truly does think he or she can make a difference imho. I cannot believe Hillary is running, way to much baggage and crooked stuff there with the Clinton's. I do think Ben Carson is just to nice and the Presidency would just ruin a nice guy like him. I'm sure the crooks will be coming out soon. I really do not want to here about job creation, lower taxes, rich vs poor, and the standard junk they all say and nothing gets done. But and but, if some poor soul does get the ticket for their party, will this person please show a birth certificate that is legit that shows he/she was born an American citizen so we do not have to go through all this ^&+*%$ht again.......just for starters..

"Conservative" does not mean "fringe right" although labeling by the MSM has done a good job of redefining the term. You never hear adjectives like "radical" and "fringe left" applied to liberals and left-wing political groups any more. Most people in this country identify with conservative fiscal and social values, while perhaps describing themselves as moderates in an attempt to appear more reasonable to anyone who asks. The latest Gallup poll seems to show the Moderate category shrinking as politics in the US becomes more polarized.

The Republicans have nominated moderate candidates in the last two presidential elections and have lost to one of the weakest Democrat candidates in history. Although McCain was a weak and dislikeable candidate, Romney was a very good moderate with an excellent resume, but his campaign handlers let the Democrats label him early on and were too timid in challenging the pathetic record of the worst POTUS in modern history. They stuck to the moderate script and lost yet another election, just the same as McCain, Dole, HW Bush & Ford, just to name a few other moderate losers.

Hillary Clinton is an extremely weak candidate, but will likely win in 2016 (assuming she gets the nomination) if the Republicans nominate another Democrat-lite moderate like Jeb Bush.

I consider myself to be a conservative in the traditional sense of the term. By no means would I allow myself to be portrayed as a "radical." A white male Christian from a Southern heritage who still adheres to long-standing values of American patriotism, the Protestant work ethic and a strict reliance on the US Constitution in matters pertaining to law and government. Sadly, I watch my country being fundamentally transformed into a nightmarish freakshow. We are being destroyed from within as directed from the highest seat of government. Infinite parasites unleashed to devour the host.

No argument that public education is substandard, but "liberal socialistic indoctrination"? If that were true, there'd be no conservatives, or even Republicans, right? That there are says teachers don't teach students what to think, but how to make up their own minds.

Check out how poorly the moderate, pro amnesty, Spanish speaking Jeb Bush is doing with the Hispanic vote vs Hillary. While the other republicans might be doing just as bad in the polls with Hispanics ,this illustrates that a candidate who 'moderates' their political positions don't gain any advantage with Democrat voters. It's a fallacy that a republican moderate will beat Clinton.

.
Hillary Clinton speaks in New York on March 10, 2015 and Jeb Bush speaks at National Harbor, Md. on Feb. 27, 2015.
According to the last two ABC News/Washington Post polls, conducted by Langer Research Associates, the former Florida governor trails Clinton with registered Hispanic voters 71-26, a margin of 3-1 -- nearly the same margin by which Hispanics supported President Obama over Mitt Romney in 2012.

Either the GOP embraces its conservative base or it should dissolve and go out of business. Moderates are basically indecisive, uninspiring and rudderless. The Wall Street Republicans should go ahead and join the Democrats. That's where their hearts belong. Conservatives aren't going to turn out in big numbers on Election Day for a mushy candidate. When was the last time the GOP won the presidency without a huge conservative turnout? Practically never. This isn't complicated.

Baggage? The Clintons have no steeenkin' baggage. They use the services of SWERVPRO®. " It's like it never even happened."

SWERVPRO started out as a small janitorial service founded by Jimmy Ray Fayette and his wife Delores Jo Fayette in the late Sixties. Tiring of the love scene in San Fransisco they moved back to Arkansas and began cleaning a variety store in Bentonville after hours. A short time later they scored a contract with the State of Arkansas to clean the outhouses on the state capital grounds. This job allowed the Fayettes to meet and mingle with powerful Arkansas politicians. One such politician was a young, newly elected Arkansas Attorney General named Bill Clinton.

Bill Clinton had just been caught by his wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, having an extramarital affair with a state DMV clerk. Hillary threaten Bill with divorce. He sought out the Fayettes to clean up this mess and make it like it never even happened. The Fayettes did just that. Bill Clinton became one of the Fayettes best customers. Soon after, Hillary began using the services of SWERVPRO also.

As Bill climbed the political ladder with Hillary hanging on to his coattails, the Clintons enlisted the services of SWERVPRO with great regularity. When the Clintons became Presidents, SWERVPRO had grown to become the largest disaster cleanup specialists in the country. Had it not been for SWERVPRO, the Clintons might never have become Presidents. To this day, the Clintons are still one of SWERVPRO's best customers. It seems like they always have a disaster or two that needs cleaning up and made to appear like it never even happened.

The Clintons have no baggage. At least none that is apparent to the American voters. All thanks to SWERVPRO. The only Clinton disaster SWERVPRO failed at was spot removal. They couldn't remove a stubborn stain from a blue dress. They even used Bon ami!

One of the templates promoted by the Democrats and their accomplices in the MSM is labeling the opposition per Rules For Radicals. Notice the adjectives employed in this effort against conservatives like "extreme","Haters", "intolerant" and terms like RWNJ, "fringe" and of course "racist". They stick to their script and never deviate, and unlike the GOP they never disagree among themselves or criticize each other. Of course the MSM helps them stay the course with this game plan.

The MSM and the Dems also offer the friendly advice to Republicans to not support anyone who is extreme, radical or on the right fringe of the political spectrum. How ironic that they would nominate, elect and re-elect the most radically liberal presidential candidate in the country's history instead of following their own advice with "moderate" candidates. Now they're offering Hillary Clinton - another far-left candidate, and many consider Elizabeth Warren a contender - a truly fringe-left liberal loony, possibly more so than Obama.

Considering the makeup of America's population, it makes no sense to think a truly conservative candidate could not win a presidential election. It's already been proven to work too many times at the state and local levels. One only has to look at the colors of the most recent political maps.
