Random Drug Tests

I just called in for my 6th random drug test in 4 years. I resent the fact that the D.O.T. is able to step all over my rights in such a way. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty and probable cause? Now, we would have probable cause to random people like Obama, an admitted heavy drug user, or Ted Kennedy or who knows who else in government. Why do we tolerate this garbage? There is no evidence that it stops accidents. They have no reason to believe that I use drugs. I do not and have NEVER tested positive for ANY illegal substance. Just more government abuse of free men. What constitution? Layoutshooter

The legality of random drug testing was a long time before Obama and even Bush can't get blamed....

I remember after 9/11 and the Patriot Act was legislated...where were you then? Huh?

OH no...I said I was against it then and still am...but all you Patriots and good citizens bemoaned me with garbage like...well if you have nothing to hide why worry about it.

So Joe you can't have it both ways...Like Leo says you don't just support a piece of the constitution...all or nothing...

Stupid world we live in...I'll be glad when I retreat from it in the middle of nowhere and be very happy!!

It is called "Extortion" I have to eat. If I fight it now I am done driving. I might be forced into a fight in the future, right now I am trying to just survive. It really does tick me off. Big Brother is getting bigger by the day and he "excuses" himself from all of this. Obama IS an admitting dope head. He has the potential to do far more damage then I do. Can you give me a GOOD answer why HE is not subject for random drug tests? HINT: being a Dumb-O-Crat or the President are NOT good reasons. Don't tell me that you think this is right? It's another 'feel good' law that has the appearance of accomplishing a goal, like the banning of cellphones, while ignoring the actual problem altogether.
Personally, I don't think Congress ought to be allowed to pass any law from which they exempt themselves.

ME? Big Borther? I spied on Soviets, Chinese, several assorted rag head groups and terrorists, how did that hurt you? It may have save your life once or twice but NEVER did it impact you in a negitve way!!

Even if the government didn't require it your carriers insurance company most likely would. I am not saying it is right or wrong it is just the way of the world these days.

I also had your attitude about OOIDA and finally figured out that griping to each other in not going to help. Now at least I call and I email and let them know how I feel. Maybe if more of us would do that we could get changes we want.

As for drug testing it is part of this trucking world and there is only one option I see if you do not like it move on to a job that does not require it. Such as our elected officials.

We found out that if ya tick-off Cat's dispatch, BINGO! ya gets a whizz-quiz. had TWO in less than 45 days - random my a**!

I was NOT big brother, I did NOT spy on US citizens. We took great pains to insure that we did NOT even hear US stuff even by accident.

As to the admitted felon, Hillary, just pointing out the massive double standards.

If you are an elected you can do almost anything and get away with it, reguardless of party, so don't give me the Bush did this or that stuff, they all suck.

IF things were how they SHOULD be Obama would be tested on a regular basis, once a doper , always a doper in my book. Can't trust 'em. Don't like that? Too bad. Hillary would be investigated for, at minimum, mis-handling classified documents. At maximum, spying on the US governement. Of course the Sandy Berger ( I think that was that criminals name under the Clintons) got away with it. Had I "accidently" stuck classified stuff in my socks or down my pants I would STILL be in prison.

The entire mess just sucks. Law abiding citizens are not trusted. They are made fun of in here and admitted dope heads and felons are elected to high office. Somethin just a right, bubba!! Layoutshooter

On a seriuos note:
When I was I nursing, if an amployee said they injured them selves and wanted to go home, we sent them to the ER and for a whizz-quiz. They just couldn't go home and then file for worker's comp. Alos I did alot of agency nursing, they all required whizz-quizes and fingerprint/back ground checks. Most any nursing facilitu can and will do random tests.

And it all started because the very first person agreed to do it....wonder who that was? How different it could be if they'd stood on their rights instead of caving in to the "common good" or the infamous excuse' If you have nothing to hide"
