:Hello drivers! First time using a forum,so bear with me. Has any body had the problem when you turn on the heat it throws the 20amp breakers. When I turn on the fan only its ok. Sometimes it will take a half hour to kick off and other times only a few minutes. If anybody knows what it would take to fix this problem let me know. Thanks Bigrig
Are you trying to use the heat on low or high? Mine kicks off the breaker when it's on high. When I asked at Carrier I was told that they are designed to do that. Hopefully that will give you a starting place. If you don't have a dealer directory shoot me a p.m. and I'll help you find a shop close to where you are.
Sorry Kim, as usual I didn't explain fully. The heater will work on high, but you don't have 110v at that setting. I think it's to prevent you from putting too much of a load on the unit at once, no microwave, tv, computer at the same time. My pro-heat, when its working, keeps it plenty warm in the low mode.
