That's a nice thought, and thank you for sharing it, but we do not know if that is true either. No explainations were given and we expect none ever will be. That's just the way FedEx Custom Critical is.

Readers, please note that the administrative details of Diane's and my departure from FedEx Custom Critical are meaningless and there is nothing to be gained by trying to read anything into them. The important fact is not that this letter or that letter was received, it is that we changed carriers and are now moving on.

Fedex CC isnt what it once was,I new that when they called my hitting a deer a preventable accident.It use to be FDCC was the only game in town with their high pay scale,buut over the years that has changed.There now are many opportunities and choices for the expediter to make a great living.

Plus Phil, the fantastic customer service you and Diane provide will not only be appreciated by the customers you serve, but also hopefully the new carrier you have chosen to lease on to. That has been our experience from day one with our current carrier ever since we chose to leave FedEx Custom Critical three years ago this month.

I agree, change is no fun, and can be costly. In our case, our 48' reefer trailer and White Glove Equipment was useless for hauling jet engines. So we had to buy a step-deck trailer, all of the tarps, chains, straps, etc, just to be able to lease on and do what we now do. A start up cost of approximately 25-30K. But with the customer base available here, that cost was all but paid back within our first year. Excellent business move!

We ALL know how it is when one starts with a "new" company/agent. Taking what's offered makes you "look" good. BUT .. eventually you "WANT" the good stuff ... the HIGH paying stuff. Time will tell how well things will go for them. BUT ... in the long run will we EVER know the truth ... or JUST what's "blogged" about ??
