So in this case, GM calls AA, and AA either delivers the load or bids it out, correct? If they bid it out and XYZ wins, then XYZ delivers (or is supposed to, anyway)? That's completely fair.

Using our own industry, it is also fair for Load One to sell a load to someone like Murray, because CRE will deliver it. The problem would be if Murray sold it to Joe Dirt, who sold it to some other clown before someone finally delivered it. That kind of shyte is going on all the time, and money is leaking out in places it shouldn't. That's less money for the driver.

I can say as a broker...our contract with the motor carriers require them to haul the freight on their direct vehicle. They are not allowed to partner carrier it or broker it. When we catch this happening we disqualify the carrier immediately.

Most of this is a transparency issue. Any and all is likely fine if carriers were transparent in their actual dealings. Instead, most are moving bs by the shovel full. That, is the actual reality and why you see these types of responses.

Best example I've seen is: UPS Loads....UPS sells it to a carrier (Ups seems not to worry about if the original carrier can cover it)...that carrier resells the load....count that... 3 fingers in the pie right off the bat...

IF Large load suppliers like UPS and other were more aware.....and move say to the RoadRunner model like John Deer and GM and soon to be more where only a very small fraction could be resold...this business would be better off IMO

There MUST be $$$$ somewhere?....or these supposedly smart guy business people would not be investing in this industry.

I don't even know who Peter H is. My observation is there's a lot of Euro trash companies around Chicago driving around in junk equipment running down rates, etc. I just assumed that was another one of them. It's really not so different than here down south all the rednecks in junk doing the same thing.
He's the owner of T&K Trucking, who is now running ORD Logistics! Apparently he's done some bad business practices with various IC's who belong and often will comment here on EO.

What group is that? Did he get a job at S-2 International? Apparently his wife did. She's allegedly bringing lots of experience in the expedited business to the table. Lol...

Read that he's working for Mead Trans the asset side of S-2. S-2 better keep a tight rein on their corporate credit cards lol.
