Both are questionable.
Kudos to DD for finding this guy - he's pretty well hidden in the morass of liberal radio talk shows that have no audience. On the other hand, has anyone considered comparing his resume to that of Laura Ingram? She has a J.D. from UVA, worked for Skadden, Arps - a prestigious law firm based in New York City - and was a clerk for Justice Clarence Thomas. For anyone who knows anything about her background, her sexual preferences are beyond question and so is her intellect.
On the other hand, Ed's claim to fame is having been a sportscaster in Fargo, ND for fifteen years after playing football for Minn. State. Want more on his interesting biography?

It never ceases to amaze me that the liberals like this fool or perhaps Chris Matthews, display their blatant ignorance on a continual basis with their comments about conservative women or conservatives in general without any blowback from even their conservative counterparts. Obviously, we don't expect them to be held to account by the MSM - but Chris Matthews calling Sarah Palin "profoundly stupid" is just laughable, but I guess nobody takes him seriously enough to bother to respond. It's all part of the continual drumbeat from the liberals in their attempt to portray anyone with conservative principles as being backward and unenlightened.

Can we just be honest with each other? I for one am not surprised in the least that something like this finally happened.
For most of the past 30 years women have been steadily jumping into waters where formerly only men were accepted. They have been rising in the worker ranks, taking lofty positions in companies once only open to men, and now they are rapidly moving into top positions in the media, pushing even more men out of the bread winning jobs. It is almost too much to take!
I think most of you men would agree with me the world was a better place when women were at home rattling pots and pans and the man was bringing home the bacon. This Schultz guy was probably just at his wits end. I know I am when it comes to this woman's lib stuff. sheesh!

who cares?
I mean who really cares.
This shouldn't be a big deal in our lives because there is so much more to worry about. Ingram does an entertainment show that is alright, a little dumb at times with some of the sound effects and looped audio but overall alright. Schultz does an entertainment show that is alright, sometimes it is stupid but overall alright.
These are entertainers, not people who impact the world or do something like do something for us outside of entertaining us.

You are exactly right greg, they are entertainers, but these entertainers do impact and influence a lot of people. Why, I have no idea. Just take a look around. It is tabloid news and its pathetic that people believe the tripe they put out, but they do, and worst of all, they repeat it as truth.
Before everyone get's all in a hissy and starts crying about me not posting stuff about guys like Schultz. One. I don't watch or listen to him, nor does anyone else. Two. As someone already pointed out:
His influence is pretty much zilch. Three. Fox has all the influence and ratings, as you can see when people talk about these things they like to brag about how much Fox is better than the "Lamestream" media . Like that is something to brag about. Four. I am more interested in the mis-information that people like to post here in the Soapbox
That being said.
He shouldn't have said it, and I for one am glad he is being held accountable and being suspended for his words. Along with giving an apology. One glaring difference I do see though. You never see anyone from FoxNews(Hannity, Beck, O'reilly) or conservitive talk radio host being disciplined openly, (I did not say apologize, I said disciplined) when making similar, if not worse remarks
It would seem that MSNBC has no problem disciplining(Shultz) or firing (Olbermann) if they cross the line they view as innapropriate.
This has been an issue as long as broadcast journalism has been around.
Remember, Walter Cronkite (Uncle Walter) was considered the "Most trusted man in America". He was even talked about as someone that could be president.
Greg always responds to these threads with "who cares", followed by a lengthy diatribe proving that he indeed cares.

BUT ....
Ragman, the problem is there is no broadcast journalism going on here, it is pure entertainment without objective 'reporting' in the format solely driven by profit, not commitment to one or another ideology.
If you take any of these shows and strip the personality out of them, they are all the same - not one bit of difference. They are like other entertainment shows, like ET and TMZ as far as the quality goes - bar none.
Many of the entertainers are taken 'oprah' serious by their listeners (which is scary and shows we have too many people with too much time on their hands), and their influence isn't what I would call inspiring to most of their audience but rather somewhat of emotionally stirring.

"Oprah serious" do you mean when Oprah Say's " This Author has lived through every thing in his book" it's not true? That maybe she was in it for the money and not the Altruistic soul some think she is.

He certainly has the right to say it, and she can sue him, if she wants...but thats long and drawn out and not and overly good chance of winning...And while he has the right to say it, he also has the obligation to take the responcibilty for saying and take whatever "stuff" come his way for saying it..like his suspension..and forced apology...
as for the conservatives, do you really think the libs would have been low profile on something like this if say "hannity" said the same thing about rachel mancow?? They would have raised so much bs and demanded that hannity be fired you would never hear the end of it...
