How can she sue him?
IF he is making the comment as an entertainer, then it that is one avenue where she would have a very hard time proving that it was a determent to her career.
IF he is making a comment as a journalist, she has no recourse unless it was so outrageous that it stops her from making a living.
Either way he could justify it on many levels by the very nature of his work.

Polite people, people of character don't do what he, and many others, do in the name of entertainment.
There is no valid reason to act like that in public.

There is something that is called a frivolous lawsuit and lawyers can sanctioned for brining them to court.

Is the women in question the "Doctor Laura" of talk radio?. Who is one of the RUDEST persons to the morons who call in to her program that you will ever hear.
Man, that's the truth. I hadn't listened to her for years, but the other night I was surfing on the SiriusXM and it landed on her show. I took in 5 or 10 minutes of it while Dr. Laura pummeled some young mother for not standing up to her mother-in-law (who gave her kid his first haircut ever, without asking permission of the mother). The mother never got to finish a single sentence, constantly being interrupted to hear how she was somewhere between pond scum and raccoon droppings, and that it was her fault for marrying a momma's boy to begin with. By the time the call ended, I was pretty sure the young mother hung up the phone and just slit her wrists.
