It does cost the solo, as far as how much he's able to run in a day. The 14 hour rule REALLY screwed all of us; not just the solos. Wow! They blessed us with an extra hour! And all we have to do is practically run it all at once! Well... if they were TRULY worried about safety, we wouldn't have the 14 hr rule combined with either the 10 hrs sleeper or that cluster&*!# called 8/2. Nope... we'll just keep running, even after we get tired. Just like the bureaucrats writing the rules, we have a job to do too.
