My son, Don Jr., is celebrating his 50th birthay this week-end. As a special gift to him I shut down 3 trucks and rented a 65 foot houseboat for 4 days. We are on Dale Hollow Lake down on the KY and TN state line. Great place to be.

On Friday we loaded the boat with 30 cases of beer and a half a loaf of bread and a full pound of bologna just in case someone gets hungry over the next four days. All went well until late day just before dark when someone fell overboard and another one followed him hoping to get his picture taken as a hero. We had 3 hanging over the railing calling the dragons and as luck would have it another one went overboard in the dark. I decided to pull into a cove for the night. One guy got into the bait box and almost threw up his liver cause he thought he was taking a dip of chew. Now he hates worms and wiil not use them as a result.

Saturday was not quite as eventful as everyone was busy fishing and talking to the dragons again. Had to go 40 miles back to the marina cause we ran out of beer. Bought 25 more cases and thought this should be enough for the 5 of us. We bar-be-qued bologna for dinner and are now out of food except what we can catch. Everyone is using beer cans for bobbers. Finally, time to sleep. Did not last long as 1 driver rolled off the second deck into the water asleep. Da*n! Everyone have a great week-end and remember Don Jr is now 50. Just cannot wait until I turn 50.....Crapshooter.

Boating is just plain fun! I hate when we run out of beer.

At the yard doing laundry and watching tv. Book shelves are full and there are bags of books on top! So much to choose from

I re-arranged the shelves and made space for everything. There are about 30 hardcover books on the top that there are not room for.

Looks like I might have to order another bookshelf! Are we out of stickers up there?
