Back in service at home for now. If nothing comes up shortly, I'll head up to Taylor to try and get something out of the yard...

On our way to our first long run. Been out here since October 1st and have had 3 short runs. We spent a week in NY mainly waiting to get out. Decided to dead head home, Delta, OH to get in better location. Before we got to Cleveland we got a run from Clevelan to Lerado, TX. Still going to stop by home for a few min. Will be back on road this evening. Finally we get to actually drive a longer run.

Atlanta, GA to Black River Falls, WI. 1000k miles delivered and it's just barely Tuesday night. It pays to have a company that has agents and regular customers down south. I never sit long down south with Bolt. Ohh..and the rate was really good too.

My freind was in Laredo waiting for a load, along with the other huge amount of vans and straights down there, and he moved up to Dallas, where I was at when I unloaded on Sun.morning.It seems that alot of the vans waiting for loads in Laredo ended up deadheading up to Dallas,as well.I got out, and heading to upper Mich.Word has it that Laredo is getting jammed up bad,and difficult to get out at full rate right now.He told me a couple of co's were offering their drivers loads at .50 cpm to the truck to get out of there, and a few of the drivers were jumping on that....Imagine that..lol..

As long as carriers and drivers keep lowballing these loads the shippers will party on....IF the carriers stuck together and let the freight sit on the dock, the rates would have to increase ...

Sitting at the Rodgers TA in MN. In the week that I have been doing this I have learned several things......

1. TS WI-FI is horrible. Now I get why everyone is jumping on the Droid

2. Don't take loads to MT. Pay looks good on paper but the DH out sux. (I kinda knew what I was getting into, I hadn't been to Kalispell in years and have family there)

3. Fabreeze and simple green are a van drivers best friend.
