Hahaha that's funny! Relax? That's what you call a 1400 mile run? I didn't even get a shower! Least we are staying south in the warmth...I think we need a hotel night, with a jacuzzi tub so I can let calgon take me away! :p

OH to IN in the morning.
Planned on an OH to TX for Monday. Assuming to doesn't cancel.

As feared (or not), OH to TX "cancelled" two hours after booked. I was wondering why they were gonna pay so much per mile when they could get a freight whua to do it for 50 CPM less!!
Oh well, still on this OH to IN "Sprinter load", if I ever get loaded. Love those Sprinter "minimum" rates.

After two hours at the shipper I'm now overweight and overdim. Yes, there IS a way to be overdim IN a van. I'm so glad this is a short load. Truck abuse is NOT on my agenda.

***Update. BOL weight wrong. Feels like 1000#. Whew!!!!

Welcome to the wonderful world of expediting! You got that high paying sprinter rate and now the shipper wants to get their moneys worth out of that truck! I bet they shoved every loose box of freight they could find into the back of that Irish Rover. As long as it's a shorty I think your equipment will be alright.

BOL weight's wrong. You couldn't get 3364# of these particular widgets in here if you tried. They're stamped and don't nest. All good.

The shipper just called and they're wondering if they can put a skid on the top of your box! lol. As long as you have a tarp and are still under 13.6 inches tall, you're all good. J/K.

I once had my truck loaded with so many boxes that I had to even put one in the passenger seat. I could barely see my mirror for 200 miles. I know what it's like to fit a sprinter load into a cargo van. That was after I removed all of the parts from the boxes and then I had to re-pack them at the consignee in 100 degree heat. I was sweating to the oldies for two hours on that unload. My next van is going to have a permanent built in sleeper and less cargo space to eliminate the over-crowding of freight.

Isn't this two years in a row for Dad's BD ?
Must be nice to be loved enough by dispatch that they get you home when you want.

Tell Dad Happy Birthday from all the EO Knuckleheads.
And that other guy that posts here.

Yeah, two years in a row. It was just luck and a LOT of turned down loads to stay close. Glad I could be here. At 91 he does not have many left.

The next big time will be this upcoming deer season. I sure hope I am still hunting deer at 91.

It can't get too much gooder. Get to spend my Dad's birthday with him. My brother and nieces are coming over. Hot dogs and burgers on the grill and, weather permitting, a bonfire out back after dark. Thank God.

I will. Family, good food, and church on Sunday.

In between, I will get my boat ready for duck season and my gear ready for deer season. I will do my best to forget the real world for the rest of the weekend and enjoy what time has been granted to me.

Thank you.
