A documentary-style program aired by a Kremlin-friendly TV channel claimed that Udaltsov and his associates met with a Georgian lawmaker last autumn to raise money for organizing riots in Moscow and several other Russian cities. Udaltsov rejected the charges and said the footage was a sham.


Opposition and rights activists have denounced the case against Udaltsov and other activists as a throwback to the times of Soviet-era repression.


Since Putin returned to the Kremlin after a four-year sojourn as prime minister due to term limits, the Kremlin-dominated parliament has passed a series of laws cracking down on dissent. One law increases the fine for taking part in unsanctioned protests 150 fold to 300,000 rubles (nearly $9,000), close to the average annual salary.


Authorities also moved harshly against the feminist-provocateur band ***** Riot, sentencing two of its members to two years in prison for performing a "punk prayer" performance in Moscow's main cathedral in which they entreated the Virgin Mary to save the country from Putin.

Obama IS a Marxist. He policies show us that. Marxism ONLY thrives under the threat, or use, of force. That is WHY Obama is trying to eliminate the Second Amendment, to make the use of force easier for him.

I spent the better part of two decades studying the Soviet Union. I see very little, if any, difference between what is going on here now and what happened in Russia after the Soviet take over.

Congress has become little more than a "rubber stamp" for "regulations" (laws) put forth by regulatory agencies, the 'bureaucracy', controlled by the president.

EXAMPLE:

The 1968 Gun Control Act ceded the power of the Congress to control international and domestic trade for LEGAL products to the ATF, which is now known as the BATFE. It took power FROM the People and handed it to a government agency controlled by the Executive branch. (can you, or anyone else in here tell me how they did that?) (hint: it has been posted in here before)

In the mean time we have a congress who has not passed a budget in over 4 years. A president who is pushing to eliminate RIGHTS that are not his to restrict, grand or eliminate.

The rest will come in time. It has every where the Marxist's have taken control. We either stop them now or we never will.

One, you are of course entitled to believe as you choose. I however, believe that he would. Proof? Not yet, that time as yet to come. It likely will.

We KNOW he is trying to infringe on our Second Amendment rights, his has said so on multiple occasions. He does not even TRY to hide that fact. If one was to READ the description of the firearms he wants to outlaw one would find, based on the wording, that EVERY long gun in the United States would be outlawed.

Since he has demonstrated that he has NO PROBLEM ignoring or even eliminating the Second Amendment of the Bill of RIGHTS, one must assume that he would have NO PROBLEM ignoring, or eliminating the rest of it.

RIGHTS are neither issued or controlled by the government of the United States. That is EXACTLY what Obama is attempting to do.

Do you honestly believe that his motives for doing away with, or infringing on, the Second Amendment are benevolent? Does anything that he states, based on the history of prohibitions on the people of this country, make sense? We KNOW that prohibition did not work, and that was done LEGALLY. We KNOW that the prohibition on drugs has not worked, and one can easily argue that was done "outside" of Constitutional legality. Both prohibitions have, without any doubt, lead to massive corruption and increases in crime.

SO, one must either believe that Obama wants "gun control" to stop crime and is therefor ignorant of the results of prior illegal government prohibitions OR he is NOT out to stop crime but only to control the People.

I believe everything that he does has malevolent reasons.

What LOS is putting forth as fact is not simply a belief. It is a lie. He quoted a story about a Russian opposition leader and then stated, not opined, that President Obama is determined to do the same thing. At the very least Mr. Shooter is trying to defame the President of the United States becaue he views and policies are different than his. Yes, there is in fact a very specific method in place to amend the Constitution, but you aren't really interested in that. As soon as you hear something Obama says that ruffles your feathers

But when it's over we should be able to pull together and look towards the future, or the next fight, but pull together just the same, for the time being , and respect the system. Infringing on a right is illegal under the Constitution. IF the majority of the People want to outlaw say, "assault rifles" (what ever that is) then, amend the Constitution to do it. Obama does not want to go that route because he KNOWS it would never pass.

They passed an amendment, albeit a very stupid one, that outlawed booze. It did not work but at least they had the COURAGE to go the right route. When it failed, which they should have known it would the passed another repealing the one that outlawed booze.

Now, if one believes in personal freedom one could argue that drugs should have never been outlawed either. Here again, government had decided that they know better than the People and have again place another prohibition on something, this time without the courage to amend the Constitution to do so.

The result of the two prohibitions have been the same. Neither curtailed the use of the products that they wanted to curtail. Both created black markets for those products. Both created massive government corruption. Both created massive increases in crime.

Outlawing, or even infringing on a RIGHT, would have the same effects, times ten. There are already black market firearms and ammo. That will increase dramatically.

The fact is that passing more laws will never stop crime, protect kids, or what ever Obama says he wants. All laws do is create more crime and criminals.

Remember, every murder was already illegal and that did not stop the murder. Taking away certain tools, inanimate objects will not stop crime.

Where do our rights come from? I asked you that before and you forgot to answer.
