Yes there was less than 10% of pad left...and I am usually that guy doing 65 in 70mph speed zone. I'm quiet easy on braking as well.
Not meaning to pick on you....Define "easy"?......

Do you have to apply brakes coming down the off ramp real hard or do you coast and almost never touch them?

In heavy traffic do you let van roll on its own and maintain a distance that you don't have to ride the brake pedal?

Are you a 2 footed driver?......

Do you do any type of downshifting to use engine compression instead of brakes?.....

Worn Out has admitted to being a hard driver so we know he has a big bank roll and full pockets....every repair comes directly out of you guys pockets....no ones elses but your own....

My instructor taught me...."drive it like you have to pay for it"...has served me well.

Hmmm? Were these your first original brake pads....that is odd if so.
The only thing I could guess is a lot of HEAVY Loads...and it wouldn't be how fast you drive at Highway Speeds but I'd guess rather, how hard you suddenly need to brake.
It's just strange to need them so early. Don't know.

Just signed up for Medicare starting 12/1. Imagine, after all these years of paying for health insurance, now the government will take care of me. It's a strange feeling, I feel so, so..........Canadian

My mothers insurance premium was 1k a month when you add her employers portion of the payment. She now pays 109 dollars a month for Medicare and she is happy. She escaped Obamacare. Now I tell her she can't be a Republican because she is on government healthcare and collects a government check. She tried to tell me that she paid into it her whole life Then I showed her the statistics that the average Medicare recipient will use 400 - 500 thousand more than they paid into the system. Getting sick is very expensive. Most of the that 400 - 500 thousand is used in the last few years of the recipients life. I told her to register as a Democrat and vote for Bernie Sanders.

your humor does not escape me even this early...:p

Brakes is a serious cost for us as you know...to be changing them out too often has its costs as well...besides the obvious the downtime....every time they are changed there is a chance of stripping a nut/bolt or other collateral damage....the wheel lugs off and on and being stripped....the difference between 160,000 to 85,000 is just too great on identical vehicles....maybe Ntime coasts downhill as well?........:p

Coasts .... lol
Actually i had heard about some people hearing brake squealing early on in their PM life ... so i tried Not to Brake hard or stomp on the brakes .. and around 40k i had heard alittle squealing but it went away and i still have no issue at this time with brakes ... i asked when they installed the new tires yesterday about brake pads and they said mine were still serviceable ... but i am planning on replacing them as winter approaches .... also i have always been a Brake pumper .... not a Brake stomper ....
