Nooo didn't I didn't miss the point...the accuracy was right on since Empty moves and DH miles are not the same thing at Load 1, and really they aren't the same at any company, but when I spoke of a dh when I was with bolt, I also spoke of empty moves because, i didn't take the $.10 cent per mile and lose the dwell time..here, you are paid $.50 per mile and for the most part, the dwell time is not an issue with something like 60 total vans and sprinters to deal with...
So When I said the total DH miles I spoke only to those actually going to pickup the freight after being by dispatch, and I also didn't figure in the Empty move pay in the pay for loaded miles...because the empty move miles were just that, empty...
As I said in post #229:
Well I will end the week good...Santa teresa NM to Taylor mich..35 mile dh 1723 mile LH....doesn't deliver until tues am, but i will get in before 1700 monday and get it in this weeks pay check....3359 lh miles...97 dh miles....all miles over a buck a mile!!
My statement is accurate....no where is "empty move" miles talked about and the pay for them is not added in....
:rolleyes
Empty move miles are part of the game as i said before, you know kind of like going to the goofy relatives for the holiday, you really rather wouldn't but its part of the deal...and then dinner is good so it all works out....
Oh one thing i did type my not be accurate, I might not put the NM to Mich run in last week, not sure yet...since we have till 5 pm monday, ill decide later on monday.....might be a nice start to the week.....
PS: If i remember right (i could be wrong, but i know they use to call and offer a empty move from time to time and thats what they called it, and on the fleet vision settlements where it showed "empty miles", it didn't reflect a empty move) , Bolts contract had a differentiation between a Empty Move and Dead Head...I know there is a difference here...
