You are attacking religion in many of your posts here. While I'm not super religious I do have faith. Also you are trying to force us to support gays. I'm not with them or against them, meaning I'm not got to march with them but I'm not going to beat and murder them either.
A question to ask here is, Would you be so defensive if your nephew wasn't gay? Why should we agree and support gay marriage? What happens when a kid with 2 moms or dads get picked on in school for the type of parents they have?
I have seen to many drug addictions and suicides out of children with same sex parents because of the ridicule from class mates with "normal" parents.
Be gay ok it's your life but leave kids out of it.

After reading these posts I can certainly see why Obama flipped. With this much talk about gay marriage, he is banking on people forgetting everything else he screwed up.

Lead to it? No time soon, but eventually. But before that, it will lead to acceptance of pedophilia. Both are deviant, both are sins, both damage all participants, both damage society, both were regarded as vile but have gained acceptance. Homosexuality was regarded as a mental disease until pressure was applied to remove it. The same pressure has begun with pedophilia. It's still early. It won't be accepted anytime soon, but maybe a couple decades. Then if the soapbox still exists, your philosophical and ideological heirs will be arguing for society to accept those poor, misunderstood men who were born that way and just want to be left alone, and who are we to say who can love whom? Yes, you are them in 20 years.

Here's the difference. While some heterosexual sex might be immoral and unsanitary, ALL homosexual sex is immoral and unsanitary.
However, by pushing for marriage, they seek society's approval, that their perversion is the equal of normal people's sex lives.

How can any sane or reasonably moral individual say that one man putting his penis into another man's rectum is normal or the equivalent of heterosexual relations? And yes, it is bullying. You've got some things mixed up in that sentence, but sodomites weren't programmed to be attracted to others of the same sex. It's a defect. If it is inherent, maybe some wires got messed up in the womb, so to speak, or maybe it's the domineering mother/absent father thing. Whatever it is, their urges and their actions are two different matters. If anyone has an urge they say is inherent, and it's rape or arson or murder or bank robbery or whatever, I expect them to withstand their urges our face the consequences. Sodomites have it a little better, in that most people would settle for them doing their thing IN PRIVATE without normal people being exposed to it. But that's not good enough for them, is it?

Say "Gay Marriage" as it is currently on the table, is denied broadly; however, "Civil Union" is allowed for gays...which of course marriage in itself is already a civil union...then what about people like Jeff and I who are sharing our lives together but see no reason at our ages and stages of life to marry? Can we get one of them there new-fangled unions, or will our love and compassion and care for one another be discriminated against?
BTW: gays are disgusted by the intimate acts of heteros. That's a two way street.
If homosexuality is a hardwired "defect", then shouldn't gays be shown the same compassion as those people in wheelchairs or leg braces?

Religion is the basis for denying homosexual couples the right to marry. And for the kind of namecalling that some engage in. And the derogatory attitude that encourages their children to consider 'gay' to be the absolute worst thing they can call anyone. And for teenagers to prefer suicide to being known [or suspected] of being gay.

Defensive? I'm just as certain that denying gays their rights is wrong, and it's not defensive, it's what I know is morally right. And no, I have no gay family members or close friends [that I know of.]

People aren't born gay it is something they choose. I hear of guys with wive saying they want to try being with a guy. That is a decision they make. It's NOT how our creator designed us. Not to mention the diseases transferred from homosexuals to one another.
