New Sticker for the back of my Van..

Copied this from JuJu's FB page...

Car in front of me had a bumper sticker on it. It read: “Pray for Obama. Psalm 109:8.” When I got home I opened my bible to the scripture and read it and started laughing. Psalm 109:8 –“Let his days be few and brief; And let others step forward to replace him.”

At last –I can voice a Biblical prayer for our president! Let us bow our heads and pray.

Wow, this thing is still goin..LOL..And now we are talkiing about the "content of what might be in Load 1's next contract!?!?" LOL..

Look, it really is this simple.. All of the opinions posted were great, each as their own opinion and while I respect the fact that everyone has one, we all know what else everyone has too...The fact is the only one that posted on this topic that has any "sway" on the matter at all is the man who owns the company i lease to and the man that SIGNS THE CHECK THAT GOES IN MY COMPANY ACCOUNT....John Elliott...and none of the others (well except Juju !!) and not ONLY because he signs the check, but also because his opinion is vakued by those that contract with Load 1 simply out of respect for WHO he is and How he does things, bothin business and personally....So yea, he gets to "sway" my putting the sticker on my truck, without coming out and "banning" or making the issue a contractional one....

When people in this industry start looking around for a new comoany to lease to, and they get to Load 1 in the search, they quickly realize that, load 1 is not the norm in this industry...and when you get here, you understand that everything that happens and everyone you work with and their attitudes and how they do things comes down from the top.....This is a quality carrier and the CEO's opinion is repsected and valued....thats one of the reasons there is a waiting list for a chance to lease with Load 1...

Id pretty much bet that there will be no mention of the "banning" of bumper stickers anytime soon at Load 1....

By the way, when was the last time any of you other than Load 1 folks sat down for breakfest or lunch at the local "hot dog" joint with the CEO of your carriers!?!? :) I'll be in Taylor Tues early John!!! :)

PS: OVM, I just ordered 5 of them!! :)

You are so right xiggi, it is all about protecting the brand.

I think it's great that j elliott posts on EO and that he has the respect of his contractors and therefore doesn't need near as many rules written into his contracts.

Not that Virginia Albanese has any less respect from the contractors at FECC, but I don't expect that she would post on EO concerning putting bumper stickers on vehicles.

To be fair, CC is just a small part of a very large corporation, and the management style is carried over. The parent corp has experienced enough of the stupidity some are capable of demonstrating to have found the rules necessary over many years and thousands of drivers.
It just goes with the territory of being part of a ginormous corporation: there aren't many screwups they haven't dealt with, and created rules to prevent dealing with again.

U could make up several types of signs on magnetic backing and change them out at will depending on the message u want to send, no decals,,omy

The only message we should want to send is 'professional', right? We wouldn't even consider wearing a t shirt with a controversial statement in the presence of a customer, and the vehicle is as much a representative of the carrier as the driver. Magnetic 'decals' are fine - until you forget what's on there, and you will, sooner or later...Like the time I walked out of a 7-11, and a perfect stranger [young guy] looked straight in my eyes and said "Nope." I puzzled over that for most of the walk home before glancing down & seeing I was wearing a Fox's Pizza shirt - then I remembered what it said on the back: "Have you had a good piece lately?"
Yep, you'll forget what it says - guaranteed.

I've thought about getting one of those red LED signs that you program with a keyboard so I could have multiple "stickers" ready to go and change them at will. One would then have to remember to turn it off when entering a customer's property.
