People interpret the Bible to mean whatever suits their needs all the time. This is no different.

It's funny tho. A rainbow cross on the cover. The politically correct, socially conscious Bible! They blew it by not changing Eve to Steve.

(pun intended)

It's the new way. Take away anything that is counter to what you want. The liberal solution to everything.

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophesy of this book, If any man shall add unto these, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book;
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophesy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy and from the things which are written in this book.
REV 18-19
I believe Billy Graham hit the nail on the head when he said "If God doesn't judge the U.S. He would have to apologize to sodam and gomorrah.

Now here is something, "Queen Bible" to be righteously indignant about. Obama could use one in the Oval Office to perform homosexual weddings.
Too bad it didn't come out sooner. He could have taken his "oath of orifice" on it.

Live your life the way you want to, but do not change the words of the most precious book around.
This is just going to far..

If they were accurate in the first place...bad translations are about the only translations we have of the bible.
They didn't necessarily need a gay friendly version but a more accurate translation of all texts might be interesting.

I probably will not be reading it either. I'm in a world of cheese with God over something stupid I've done many times a year, and I go to his Principal's office frequently for correction....I will stay with Old King James...................

My favorite is the New king James and I study with A Strongs Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible To get the Hebrew and greek trnslation of given words this helps with understanding the word and the heart of the Authur (GOD) The Word is my only addiction I can't go A day with out it. Men have tried to change the Word to read what they want it to read since GOD Inspired it. It will never work His people who are called by His name will know the difference. Let GOD be true and every man a liar.

Now you know how the Jews feel.

"Salvation is of the Jew."

Now that's not something the gentiles wanted to hear, now is it? That, and all that crap about the gentiles were put here to serve the Jew. Tho, the way so many gentiles are acting, I'm seeing how it may be coming to pass.

In the end, man DID write the Bible. What does that tell you?

The Bible (I prefer King James) will not be understood by anyone not born again in The Spirit. The words and meaning are revealed in understanding through Holy Spirit blessing, not man centered interpretation.

Our Pastor once did a Bible study on the Gospel of Mark. He learned to read Koine Greek in seminary. Over several weeks, he read the entire book of Mark, translating the Greek text into spoken English as he went. It matched up pretty well with the NIV version I was using.

It was fascinating to hear the Gospel read that way. It's also important to realize almost all early Christians "heard" the Gospel rather than "reading" it. If I remember correctly, it's believed the Gospels weren't written down until quite some time after Christ's death and resurrection.

Our pastor also pointed out certain things just don't "translate" into English very well. There are certain cultural references as well a linguistic subtleties we just don't get. Just makes you wonder what possibly got changed or modified (even unintentionally) between the time Jesus walked the Earth and when the Gospels and the rest of the New Testament were finally written down.

It tells me you don,t study the Word. Naughty Boy:) It was penned by man inspired by GOD.
Trust me man Would I lie to you after all we've been through together?

Man wrote the Bible, whether inspired by God or by greed. I'm not saying the Bible is a lie; just saying that MAN wrote it... and even you admits man lies.

Every religion gets its start from people wanting to tell THEIR version of how things are. I see Christianity being no different. The Old Testament is basically Jewish history. The New Testament was written by Romans, inspired by their new found religion. BOTH had reasons to embellish the fact or fiction, in order to gain more followers (power).

Man, and everything man does, has some degree of error. Therefore, the Bible, IMO, is not infallible.

The OT is just as much about Jesus Christ as the new. The once chosen Jewish nation was used as an example and precursor to the coming of The Redeemer. It was not just the writing of men....it is the writing from men given by inspiration of God. Therefore, it is certainly infallible, if one believes in God.

The only error comes from those "modernist" who attempt to insert or remove key phrases, words, and meanings. Again, one cannot understand the Bible unless the Holy Spirit guides them. It is meant to be that way by divine design.
