well, upon further review, anything less than 8 hours doesn't stop the clock!!! I guess that means full shifts, 8 or more hours. I for one would willingly pay a thousand dollars towards a class action suit against these rules, reason..the fatigue issue has still not been addressed with these rules...lets have some REAL drivers on these boards that determine our HOS and more importantly influence my level of income.
There is no way that these new HOS is better for driver fatigue. We as teams will have to drive at least 8 hours at a time.. consecutively..so our partner will be off 8 hours consecutively!! long hauls will mean working like a shift worker.. just NOT what was supposed to be happening.
