I think my Sprinter has it out for me...

From the time we bought it in October, very minor issues. Now in the last month, 2 major breakdowns. Here is sit at the Super 8 hotel in Collinsville IL...dealing with a bad fuel pump. When it rains...I wanna scream, but it won't do any good.

But, I hope you all are having a good night. We will get through this. Thanks for letting me rant.

Shes older and from what we have found a lil mistreated by her last owner. only things we know he did was oil and tranny changes everything else seems like he bought used parts. I just want it to last long enough to make some money and upgrade :) Relax enjoy the hotel and $1,500 later get back on the road Wednesday-Thursday ready to roll :) I am really trying to keep positive we can't change what has happened just got to roll with the punches. Heck even with your breakdown you did better than us last week. we have been sitting since Friday just got a dh move to Lexington today :) Hope everyone else is having a good night!

Another sleepless night....too much on my mind...gassed up the generator, and gas can...took out the trash...went for a walk with Rambo...supposed to have thunderstorms in a half hour...guess I'll take a shower after that...otherwise, good morning, everyone! Let's all keep those in Oklahoma in our prayers, and please, if you have a smartphone, download weatherbug onto you're phone and keep an eye on the weather around you.

I hear that, seems i can't go out for a week with out a new problem popping up just when i think everything is finally fixed. So I at home OOS till? Trying to figure out what happened.

Now on another note. I had bids Monday on two "economy loads" (My new term, sounds better then cheap) fortunately someone else got them as I ended up getting a premium load taking me home. Which will be needed to help cover what ever the new problem turns out to be. In my tired reflection two things come to mind. 1- No more bidding on economy loads just to "get me moving" for me. It stresses me out that I'm doing it, and I have yet to get one anyways. (Which really makes me wonder what some of these people are running for). Of course that decision may very with the location. Ok a little room to play. But 2nd, and the biggest part. I can't maintain a Sprinter on cargo van rates. If i wanted cargo van rates I would be in a cargo van with lower maintenance cost. So that's my little rant if it is a rant

I have the Original fuel pump in this one yet...just turned 780,000....now on the old engine the year before it went away..I replaced nearly everything on the fuel system...injector rail, injector pump and guess what it ended up being a bad ECM(brain) problem...DOH
I was lucky in a way since all sensors and turbo and 4 fuel injectors were original...the new engine comes with all new stuff...that is why the engine sounds so expensive..I've never had to deal with what some of you guys are dealing with...I really wish you luck on your rebuild...

Ours had a engine rebuild 200,000 ago because on an oil change they didn't put the drain plug in tight so all the oil leaked out ours is near 500,000 the previous owner idled a lot no high idle either so it has gone thru at least 1 turbo and egr before we got it last year. we don't idle we got a harbor freight generator for now. It just died thought we don't know why synthetic oil treated fuel and now it won't start. But that's why I bought a replacement plan.

We will be taking collections for the victims in Oklahoma next week. Our staff will be donating to wear jeans all week. We will finalize all collections next Friday and send them to the American Red Cross. If anyone is interested in donating stop in and feel free. Terrible tragedy.

Eastside of Columbus Oh. Guess dispatch isn't happy with me, not one to do it but I turned down a almost 500 mile run into NY. After the butt whooping NY State gave me last week, just didn't have it in me for round 2.

Ya know, after thinking how crappy it has been, I realized it could be worse....after reading the lone poster Dollarsign's posts on Nation's forum...I now realize it is not so bad after all...He must be replacing the Bolt guy in competition...for being the only one posting on their co's page...

there have even been posts of rates for refrigerated units at FedEx of under 1.20, one even as low as .78 but it was short miles. This problem is more wide spread than most think and not just affecting standard units.

It's just the atmosphere our niche of the business is going through rite now. We just have to buckle down and be diligent to get past it.
