It is a bit chilly for this time of year here. It was 37 this morning. It reminds of on 1975, the year my first son was born. May that year was cool and wet, up until May 20th, the day he was born. It was in the 50's for the high on the 19th, then 80 on the 20th. Besides my son's birth I remember it was a REALLY good year on the Lake, here is hoping things repeat! (except for the kid part, I am WAY past the kid raising age!)

A non-resident license and a MI sportcard, which is good for life. That is like an "ID" for purchase of licenses. The "sportcard" is $1 As often as you are around, a license would provide a lot of bang for the buck. Costs below.



  • Fish 24-hour - $10 (good for residents and non-residents for all species)
  • Fish 72-hour - $30 (good for residents and non-residents for all species)
  • Fish all-species nonresident annual - $76

Usually for me it is slower than for you L1 guys. Except for April. I was lucky and the whole month was one of the better ones for me. Like you said, right place, right time.

Someone had to run all those loads you guys weren't getting. :) ;)

I am usually pretty lucky at beating the bushes to find a load....this Easter egg hunt I am coming up empty...so it goes...:)

Oh yeah, location.
In Dayton.
Replaced window yesterday.
Nothing really short enough popped to justify going out and back.
Got both our guys loads within 45 & 214 miles of home for the weekend.
Love it when that happens!!!
Just need about 3-5 more guys just like them!! They make dispatching to them a BREEZE!! We're digging our way back out of April, slowly but surely.
