May Banter, Locations and ????

Givin up for today, Goin to bed early, just in case I get a late night call...72 hrs empty... ugh.

Saw Battleship (decent movie, lotta action) found the local "Friends of the Library" bookstore and went shopping cheap!

Sat by the lake reading so long, park rangers stopped by to chat and pass time lol....and probably to make sure I didnt have a fishing line tied to my toe

Who knows, maybe today will be the day?.....The hours are racking up on the generator real quickly, faster than I want to see....But, it is only using $20.00 of gas a day, with the A/C on, alot less than last summers plus $75.00 a day idling the van...

I hate to interrupt the boys when they're on a roll, but this reminds me of something I want to ask: is it ok to run the APU for something like 6 hrs on, then off for 2, to keep the hours down? I just started doing it recently, and it doesn't seem to hurt any, [I keep an eye on the voltmeter] but I don't know whether starting it is worse than leaving it run.....

Making breakfast...Waffles and sausage...Large skim milk....16 vitamins...

Im not 100% sure I understand your question but it sounds like it should be fine. If you dont need the apu for climate control, can you not leave it off all the time? Just run it long enough to charge the batteries if thats an issue?

Cheri, depends on what all is running, decharging and recharging is a good way to kill batteries. What kind of apu, gas or diesel.

In Grand Rapids, missed a call this morning. My freaking zipper was stuck on my mummy bag lol. Kristi gave it away already when I called back. Kinda ticked me off but it was a short one anyway. I can be grumpy my first few minutes awake so ill chalk it up to that.

If you have a pencil...run the lead part up and down the zipper...kinda keeps it from sticking.

I don't think the Laredo bunch is going to be up early...Ken "butt" dialed me last night and they were still yapping in the parking lot...*lol*

It had seperated below the zipper pull. When my mummy bag is zipped all the way up you arnt even getting an arm out until you move that zipper unlesd your hudini, I did say sorry for my reaction when I heard, "I already gave it away" not music to your ears.

On 1st here.....just did some housekeeping in the general forum...we mods drive too....and things slip by because we are tired or just plain gets un-noticed...it is not a perfect world...

It's be a lot easier if "some" people would quit trying so hard to be offended...but it is what it is. People sitting around and not driving can get antsy and speak before they think. Me? I'd almost rather hoe anymore...

Mike Jr got me a nice load yesterday coming to the yard...Unloaded, and was #1 out of 1!!!!! Wow! Showered, laundry, washed van, took a nap this morning, and Caryn called me with a nice load going to...well, see you there, John! This week is looking up to be a good week! Thank God! And, of course, I'd like to be home for the holiday weekend! But, if freight is running good, my to do list will have to be like good bologna, it'll keep.gotta go.
