4 trips in 2 days and 3 ended in Detroit. In a week 180 loaded is longest so far.
I have only been on two short loads under 200 miles so far this week.
I am at Fault yesterday morning though. David O. dispatcher called at 9:30am and my cell was in my jeans pocket on vibrate and sound. I was Mowing and Moving, didn't hear or feel it. Missed the Load by ten minutes when I checked my phone just for the heck of it! Dang! Oh well. My fault. Lawn looks good, cleaned the inside of my Frig. And got to talk to my retired neighbors. Then got called for this 6am GM Load to Indiana.
It'll pick up. Sometimes in that Detroit area, I've made out good in the past having 3 short loads in one day...$175-$200. Nothing wrong with short loads...sometimes they pay more per mile for them than the longer 8-10 hr. Trips.

Stay off the Tracks...Train's are Speeding! Going 100 mph into a 50 mph curve=very sadly, loss of life and injury. If my hands aren't on the controls, I'm not stepping aboard.

He was in an 80mph zone, going about 105 or so; probably lost track* of where he was and came up on the curve sooner than he expected to. He applied full brakes, but it was waaay too late. (Source: NTSB briefing at 1715)

*pun not intended, as ain't nothing funny about this.
