No Steve I won't trade you!! You can be as bored as you get, just list to those doctors, i know they can be wrong as much as they are right, but when it comes to recovery, they usually are pretty good...be bored and relax!!!! You will be back at it sooner or later, messup and you might not be back at all...Relax. take pill...chill...:D

You getting around any easier now?

Compared to last week, 100%. Compared to normal, 25%.

Doc has me on muscle relaxants since he said two inches of the nerve sheath is gone leaving the nerve exposed. Until the sheath regenerates, anything touching it is like being hit with a tasor gun and every muscle in my right leg spasms. Whole leg has shrunk about two inches around when compared to my left.

What frustrates me is that I can't do anything to accelerate the process.

See how you are!!! Yeah, I'll listen and be bored. The alternative is far worse.

Yea Steve the alernative is always worse!!

So, I am empty in El Paso, sitting at the El Paso International airport OOS waiting for 2 hours for an emergency flight home...have a family member that is in a coma and no ones knows for how long...so...the van is in long term parking...i am fighting a nasty upper chest cold and eating a salad as I wait...be in Detroit Metro around midnight with a layover for 2 hours in Dallas...

I'll be home till we are done dealing with this and hopefully my return ticket for the 14th will be the end of it and I'll get a nice long run out of here....

PS: anyone know what I can expect with the power being off to the QC for a week?? I disconnected all power to everything in the van. tried 3 times to get to service at Load 1, but no one ever answered....

I'm with Ken, hope it turns out well.

Power off the QC shouldn't have any affect on it. It should boot up normally when you re-power it. It may not pick up any messages that were sent in the meantime, but that shouldn't be an issue either. I always unplugged it if I needed to jump the truck so it wouldn't get a surge.

Dennis,

Sorry to hear the bad news. Will keep your family in our prayers. The QC will be fine. It only fires up for like 3 days periodicaly then it just goes to sleep so not to drain the battery. Best of luck and let us know if you need anything.

Sitting in Load1's yard, just got back from Famous Dave's for dinner. Settling in for the night. We got a call for a load that picks up in the morning delivering to Lincoln Nebraska. So time to rest before going back out on the road.

Be safe everyone.

Dennis, we are praying for your family.

Thanks OntarioVanMan and Chef Dennis, no we didn't realize we were heading into a winter storm.

Darn, I was really hoping to be done with that stuff. Oh well, we will get on puter to figure if there is any way to avoid it if not then slow and steady as she goes.

Just left Ypsilanti for Nebraska. took a little while to load though. The shipping dept. put a van load on on instead of what we were there to pick up. The load that was put on truck didn't seem right according to decription by dispatch. So we called dispatch to verify. We also didn't have any BOL, since the load we are taking to Nebraska was a load that was dropped in Ypsilanti by mistake yesterday.

So after investigation, turns out that a van load (1skid) was put on us and the 4 skids we were supposed to pick up was still waiting for us. So after we had the shipping dept. straight the mistake out we are now on our way. We are supposed to be there by 10pm tonight. Hopefully the weather will cooperate with us.

God Bless and stay safe everyone!
