Of course they are MY numbers. Anyone else's numbers are not my business. I posted them to show that they do not reflect the $.30 drop you quoted. By your own admission, you have not run YOUR numbers yet you made the statement with no proof to back it up.
This is Expedite, it is far from any rose I ever saw. Speaking for myself, the only thing I say to anyone is that in my opinion, Load 1 is the best company to contract with and that the potential is here for success. I offer to help them in anyway I can and advise them to ask others for their opinions and to read our forum on EO. A perfect example is ChrisGA23. He got on the forum and asked many questions and got the info he needed to make his transition, as you put it, easier.
I don't know either. Again speaking for myself, the times that drivers have asked me questions, or come to me with problems, I help them as much as I can. If it's an issue I have no answer for, I direct them to the proper individual within the company to get their answer. It's the truth, no chest puffing involved.
Not the proper approach. I don't invade people's privacy or stick my nose in their business. The proper venue would be in the driver's lounge, recruiting, etc. I introduce myself and ask how they are doing. If they want to ask anything, they usually do so.
I don't look for issues. I am a driver/fleet owner contracted to Load 1. I don't work for Load 1, I work with Load 1. Any issues I or my drivers have I deal with because it's my business. I don't compare numbers with anyone else's since no two are alike. I posted my numbers to prove that my business is not experiencing the $.30 drop you posted about. Since you have not run your numbers, you can't make that statement.
Again, if asked in conversation, I explain the entire process and advise to become a part of this forum to glean knowledge from everyone. I don't presume to know everything.
I have the proof of the driver I spoke about. That is for him to post, not me.
When I finish mine, I'll post them.
Some other issues I helped some with, and these 3 drivers drive for fleet owners, are:
One is calling dispatch for layover approval. Didn't know all he had to do was fill in dates and times and put in Tim's name.
Another didn't know he could go on FV and see his numbers. Thought only the owner had access.
Another forgot about the expense sheet and hasn't turned in toll receipts for reimbursement, so he doesn't run tolls when he can avoid them.
Had I not asked the questions, these drivers would have never known to ask.
Not only do these new folks coming in have to learn new freight areas, they also have figure the culture. It is different than other company. Where else do you have access to everyone, from the CEO on down.
Most companies we all came from all operate as a voice on the phone.
Dispatching is buried behind locked doors, smoked glass windows or separate buildings. You can't even sleep in your truck on Panther property.
We have all come from different carriers or different type of driving experience. Those of us that have been here longer should help those coming.
Where is the fine line of being family vs individual business owners or working for or working with. Are the load one employees the family or are we all part of the family.
In my family, we all help each other. We don't wait to be asked. We look for issues. That's how families grow and stay together, isn't that part of it.
