Your numbers are just that, YOUR numbers. That doesn't mean someone else doesn't have a legitimate issue or simply doing something wrong. No 2 vehicles are alike.
Of course they are MY numbers. Anyone else's numbers are not my business. I posted them to show that they do not reflect the $.30 drop you quoted. By your own admission, you have not run YOUR numbers yet you made the statement with no proof to back it up.
I'll tell ya what I'm tired of. I'm tired of some that have been with the company for a while living in their rosey world saying because their's is this so it must so for everyone else. There are a lot of new folks with the company. Some are having a more difficult time making the transition than others.
This is Expedite, it is far from any rose I ever saw. Speaking for myself, the only thing I say to anyone is that in my opinion, Load 1 is the best company to contract with and that the potential is here for success. I offer to help them in anyway I can and advise them to ask others for their opinions and to read our forum on EO. A perfect example is ChrisGA23. He got on the forum and asked many questions and got the info he needed to make his transition, as you put it, easier.
Why these 4 particular individuals decided to call me, I don't know. Maybe they know I won't puff out my chest at them, or I'll tell them the truth, or maybe I'll try to help them.
I don't know either. Again speaking for myself, the times that drivers have asked me questions, or come to me with problems, I help them as much as I can. If it's an issue I have no answer for, I direct them to the proper individual within the company to get their answer. It's the truth, no chest puffing involved.
Next time your in the yard, why don't some of you that have been around awhile, get out of your truck, go knock on some doors and ask if there is anything you can do to help them out if they need it.
Not the proper approach. I don't invade people's privacy or stick my nose in their business. The proper venue would be in the driver's lounge, recruiting, etc. I introduce myself and ask how they are doing. If they want to ask anything, they usually do so.
You don't know if there is a issue till you sit down, go thru some numbers, compare some numbers or whatever needs done to determine if there is a issue and if so how can we fix it if it can be fixed.
I don't look for issues. I am a driver/fleet owner contracted to Load 1. I don't work for Load 1, I work with Load 1. Any issues I or my drivers have I deal with because it's my business. I don't compare numbers with anyone else's since no two are alike. I posted my numbers to prove that my business is not experiencing the $.30 drop you posted about. Since you have not run your numbers, you can't make that statement.
Like Ken said, negotiate is part of the process. Some are better at it than others, maybe those of you that are good at it, can help those that aren't. One didn't even know he could that. Part of the transition.
Again, if asked in conversation, I explain the entire process and advise to become a part of this forum to glean knowledge from everyone. I don't presume to know everything.
