Usually other way around....the afternoon shift gets us out....John must be cracking the whip on days shift people....LOLmaybe the mornings are for out going and the afternoon is all incoming..
Taking a round trip back in Plymouth around 5 or so. Ken or Scott is buying dinner. Sitting at my pick up / delivery. Little mad about something not company related but I will get over it.
Must be mad that I'm in the wrong country to be buying him dinner.
Yet another 90 mile trip. Im north of the yard again. I dont know what to do. Its hard for me to turn down loads when I know someone has put effort into getting me that load. But....in the last 5 days, Ive ran a grand total of 175 loaded miles. The pay hasnt been what is should be either for short trips.
I may make some mistakes and dissapoint somebody, but I need 1 of 2 things.
1. Longer loads with decent pay or
2. More of the short loads....and they need to pay like short loads should.
My first week (started on a wed) was promising, given that it was a partial week. None of the loads were very long, but they paid well enough to make up for it. Even then, I would have liked to have stayed just a little busier. It has been down hill ever since. One decent run (400+miles) with mediocre pay and 3 short loads since last tuesday.
Must be mad that I'm in the wrong country to be buying him dinner.
You know what to do......
Yeah....I do. Im not used to turning down loads though. But Im also not used to waiting 1-3 days between 90 mile loads.. lol.
I know dispatch is doing their best. Its gonna be a tough transition for me though.
gotta do whatcha gotta do....there buddy....ya need some meat on them thar bones...
