I have justbid on my 22 load today and it just 13:30
In my book there is no shortage of jobs just brokers with no concept of realities and greedy carriers who want to choke us all !!!!
I've had to drop my rates almost 40% and I'm a betting man the carriers havnt matched that in their rates!

I have stopped bidding on next day jobs as it's not worth my time waiting for that never gonna happen call, they jus have too much time to wait for another desperate bid

Absolutely nothing wrong at .65 a mile in my opinion ..it is not up to me to judge others profit margins... we have no info on maybe personal reasons why the load was accepted... The news is in the details...

sounds like a load to use a double up opportunity...broker could be looking to piggy back it.....you just can't read off the board..there is usually more to it.....

Ya u are right it is not up to me to judge , but this is effecting my home as well in the long run... Maybe I should just quit driving and just keep dispatching because I'll be making more then the I....... Drivers that drive for those rates ... I think I just seen the light.... Now... If they drive for .65 it will be pretty much 50/50 now split I don't gotta pass a single mile .
Thanks

comparatively we are now the mom and pop that fights the Walmart everyday....cut your costs, live a little leaner or bye bye....its simple economics 101....sorry

If u think any dispatch drops his price because the driver thinks will get the load for .60 cents u are wrong we know how much the rates R... U just made more for us.... Everyone should have a standard I don't see why I would try to live leaner because of someone else ? No thanks. Everyone knows for him self , but that's just......

What's left to be cut? What am I missing? Trucks have been cutting cost for 6+ years now. Carrier fails to control their cost and we pay with reduced rates. Safe bet their rate hasn't dropped, at least from what I hear from the shippers. I'm sure all perks, company outings and pay raises are still on track for the company's. How many thousands of dollars will be spent by each carrier at the expo just to bring in more drivers with false hope. Not cheap to pack up and go on a 3 or 4 day junket. Not even taking into account the lost production in man hours while the boss and company is out playing for the weekend.

if someone puts that on the tail with a regular priced load they just made very good money...
Agreed OVM, and that's one of the points I was making by posting the information. The reality of today's marketplace is that there are many competitive forces that drive pricing. There seems to be a group of folks out there who are stuck in a mind-set wherein their competitors are limited to others that operate a vehicle of similar size and capability.

Exactly in one perspective......One example is Bounce Logistics...they post quite a bit out of Mexico and want to low ball it as we would say...but they are fishing for a cheap piggy back opportunity in most cases.....its not expedite and its only 1 or 2 skids kind of a semi LTL/expedite....you seen it as a dispatcher I am sure....

I hear everything you're saying. I was just busting your chops lol. I have seen more than you would ever see on the show "COPS" as a dispatcher. I have seen just about everything imaginable.

Tell me...the cost of your commute goes up to 100.00 a week from $40 a week..where do you trim your household budget to pay for that? It surely doesn't magically appear...and since your a :pokepoke:dispatcher you already are on the low end of the pay scale with not much left in the budget.:p
