Wow, a lot of great ideas! Some of the things we already have like wifi, showers and free laundry. We have a nice 46 in flat screen that we can use. We bought a bigger one for the new training area. I think the wireless headsets are a great idea! Sink and microwave are good ideas.

We have pondered a separate work out area. A number of our staff has expressed an interest in this as well.

I think an area with a couple of workstations for laptops is also a great idea.

I had not gone as far as the "bunk room" idea. That one I have to ponder a bit. Now the pez dispenser.....yummy!

We have a grill already. To be honest Vince and those guys do all the grilling. I do more of the eating!

Good question on the liability issue. I would have to ask the attorneys how work comp and property insurance would apply or need to be disclaimed.

I am beginning to think everyone at Load 1 is paid off. I don't think in my 40yrs of trucking have I heard so many positive things coming from one company:D. Makes me wonder how long it will last. I might talk to you about putting on a new truck in March.
Anyway one thing (depending on parking area), Shore power.

NOW THAT IS RIDICULOUS AND INSULTING!!!!!

We actually just put stuff in the coffee, it's cheaper :D

Posted signs aren't worth the material there printed on. You can put up "Keep OUT" "No Trespassing" what ever you want and if someone is injured on your property see who ends up paying.

If you provide showers, make sure the drivers cannot remove the shower heads... some of these guys are goofy with the shower heads for some reason..LOL

Why would there be any need for a bunk area? Doesn't everyone bring their own [van/truck] with them?
It would be different if the truck were going to be off limits for the day, as it is in the shop - but that's not why you're there, is it?

A completely sound/vibration proofed room for sleeping. Literally insulate it with recording studio quality materials, no exterior light can get in, and totally isolated from the sound of doors slamming, footsteps or any other vibration.

When I was a kid I worked nights for a janitorial service that was contracted by Donaldson Manufacturing. The area I was responsible for cleaning contained a drafting room, some offices, a hallway, a couple of bathrooms and a soundproof room used for testing truck mufflers. Occasionally if I finished early I would go to the soundproof room to take a nap. A soundproof room may seem like the ideal place to nap, but it really isn't conducive to sleeping. Outside sounds are eliminated, its the internal sounds that will drive you crazy. You can hear your breathing, heartbeat and even your cells dividing and multiplying. Scary stuff!

This was also the job where I accidentally discovered the key stamped Briggs & Stratton for my IH pickup truck also unlocked the Tampax™ dispenser.

I thought I said that in a positive way, with all the good things we hear about you and your company, so if that insulted you than oh well.
