OK folks... this issue got blown up WAYYYYYYYYYYY friggin bigger than it needed to be.. LOL. So, in the interest of trying to satisfy EVERYBODY while getting yelled at from all sides... here's what we'll do.

In a desperate attempt to fix something that ain't broke, we will now have an
official EO Monthly Locations-Only thread, and an
official EO Weekly Locations-Freeform thread.

Echoing Phil's sentiment, but adding whether you could care less or whether you care a great deal, why do anything at all?
No need for a poll or anything else. Just do it, then leave it alone, and it'll work itself out. The original locations thread has evolved into one with much banter. So, some people (a
number of them, whatever a
number means), would like to see one without the banter. Great. So start a banterless thread, then leave it alone. If enough people decide to use the banterless thread, then it will survive and be worthwhile. If not, it'll die a quiet death. Simple, easy, done.
It might even be the banter-laden thread is the one that dies.
You know why things got blown out of proportion? Because posts got deleted. Couldn't leave it alone.
