I just passed by the Load 1 office while on my way to make a delivery on Brest road last night. The facility looks pretty good cept that when I tried to look inside the windows I saw a wild man running around the office with a pair of handcuffs chasing all of the female staff. I wonder if that was Mr. Elliott!!!

I was almost tempted to go in just to see if OVM's shorts were hanging up inside the recruiting office as a trophy that they had snatched up E-1's most loyal driver! But, alas, I hadn't had a shower in 2 days and I simply refuse to talk to people when I am not decent.

Good luck with Load 1 guys. As for me, i'm going to continue to take over Cheff's place here as the Noob with the mostest juice until he returns from his hiatus.

Blizzard, I have been out of service for over a week, Renee called me yesterday, like a dummy I answered the phone, she asked me to come back in service to help them out, she had a run that needed covered...Toledo to Romulus.....

Needless to say I couldn't take it since i am no where close to Toledo...but as these short run offers continue....well you just might be the "Favorite Son" from here on out!!

And you didn't even have to cook them a "cheesecake"!!!

Blizz - you should have stopped in despite the shower need. Heck you could have went through our truck wash and hosed off there....LOL.

I just took a 20 minute shower here at the Bolt office. I feel good now. I got a question here, do you think OVM's shorts will be on display at the smithsonean institute 200 years from now when they have a display dedicated to the pioneers of expediting?

Yo Cheff, i've been getting quite a bit of 200 milers lately and i'm now pre-dispatched on a 299 miler for Monday. I think these shorter ones are better then the longer Texas runs. For the past three times i've been in Laredo i've had to deadhead all the way to Kansas City to get loaded. I prefer to run shorter runs in the core area with more consistency and less deadhead.

We need to talk though if you are looking to really be free in this game. I'll show you the ropes on being your own boss out here. I can go to work for a company that can get me in and out of California fairly consistently, at least twice a month. But a lot of their loads are 1300 miler straight shots with limited time to sleep. I'm just not ready to jump ship yet because bolt has been pretty good to me so far.

I hope you make a solid financial decision when you finally do Cheff. Good luck man.
