Here is one example of the many that do exist:
From article:
During a live interview with NBC’s Savannah Guthrie on Sunday, President Obama told her how, at the White House, “[w]e make beer – The first president since George Washington to make some booze in the White House.”

While it may be true that beer was brewed at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the President’s statement about former President George Washington also making beer there was far from accurate. Washington did, in fact, brew his own beer, but not from the White House since he never lived there (as John Adams was the first president to occupy it in 1800).

In a move that was far from surprising, ABC and CBS joined with NBC in steering away from the President’s gaffe by giving it zero mentions on their morning and evening newscasts. Not even an acknowledgment that even the interview took place appeared on NBC Nightly News.

The Fox News Channel’s Special Report with Bret Baier did cover the gaffe, however, to the tune of one minute and 14 seconds during the show’s “Grapevine” segment. Anchor Bret Baier stated how:

[H]istorians were quick to point out our first President has been falsely accused. While he did make his own alcohol, he did so at his own home, Mt. Vernon. He never even lived in the White House. John Adams was its first occupant in 1800.

Seconds later, Baier read a portion of a statement from Brent Bozell, President and Founder of the Media Research Center (which is the parent company of NewsBusters):

The Media Research Center says if George W. Bush made that mistake it would have been a different story. Quote, “[t]he networks love mocking Republicans...for mangling American history. It underlines their certainty that Republicans just aren't very smart. Conversely, in their minds, Barack Obama is a genius...So they just pretend it never happened.”

Somehow, I missed the story of ol George making beer, wherever he did it, because it definitely wasn't covered in any history class I sat through.
Paul Revere's ride was, because it's a legend in our history, [whether it's factual or not], right up there with Pocahontas saving Captain John Smith's life [which probably didn't happen.]
The two incidents are hardly comparable. And no one thinks Obama is a genius, Barkley - the Media Research Center made that up, too.

When I heard Obama say that, my immediate thought was, "Well, Washington never lived in the White House. I think he meant, 'The first president since George Washington to make some booze while in office'.”

I then just as quickly dismissed it as the unimportant gaff that it was. Clearly, there are many people who will latch on to any little thing in the context of pedantic politics to sculpt it into something far bigger than it actually is. We've even got Fox News in a desperately lame move once again stooping to sourcing a conservative Blog as a news source.

People need to focus on what's important in that interview, namely, the fact that the President of the United States is standing there drinking home-brewed organic honey ale with his pinkie raised. OMG. You know who drinks like that? Little girls at pretend tea parties, Savannah Guthrie, and Bruce Jenner.

Next we'll see the likes of the muttster accusing the President of trying to get Guthrie drunk.

Obama ended the pre-Super Bowl interview by getting ready for the longer sitdown. "Savannah, enjoy the beer," he told the Today Show co-host. "You should finish it before our full interview, it'll make it go smoother."

Nice Mr. President, nice. lol

This was a hilarious article, good find. I like how they twist things and make it sound like the Republicans are trying to make the poor pay more taxes than the rich.

Um, which things, specifically, did they "twist"?

Do you really think that "article"was written without biased? What about the fact that anyone paying attention to the news already knew about the things that they claimed we didn't? The real kicker was when they claim that the liberal media doesn't report on the stuff but then they used a clip from CNBC reporting on exactly what they claimed wasn't being reported.

The premise is not that the "liberal media" doesn't report the issues, but that they gloss over them, without questioning their import. Things like outsourcing jobs, increasing temp workers, weakening the Glass Steagall bank restrictions, high rates of incarceration when crime is [and has been] decreasing - those are subjects that matter to citizens. But they get less coverage than any local fire or car crash, politician's slip of the tongue, or outrageous 'man bites dog' story. We get the "news", sports, and weather - and unless you're a gambler with money riding on a big game, the only thing we can use is the weather.
They never discuss what affects our lives, because it might offend a current or potential ad sponsor, or even local legislators, and they don't dare go there.
Liberal is the last thing the six [yes, 6] corporations that control the "news" are.

Do you really expect the local news to cover all this stuff in depth? In half an hour? All of that stuff is discussed and covered online or on the 24 hour news channels. There isn't enough time to go in depth on OTA basic channels.

Liberal is the last thing the six [yes, 6] corporations that control the "news" are.

The half hour news shows cover what plays to the masses and go over what they can in a short time. If they try to go in depth on stuff people quickly change the channel. That's the society that we live in today and the news corporations are just giving the people what they want.

If the society we live in today gets its news exclusively from television, we are definitely doomed. Even online news is woefully inadequate, but tv news is a farce, strictly to produce revenue from ads. What a sad comment on our society that is!

It used to be that presidents would shun or ignore (or bar from the press pool) reporters who wouldn't play ball, but Obama has taken that much further. And there are several other connections not mentioned in that piece. Things inside the Beltway are even more incestuous than is Hollywood. Everybody knows everybody and they all help each other out.

What else would you expect from The Daily Kos - one of the most liberal websites on the planet. Almost everything they mentioned - with the possible exception of the issue of honeybees - is stated with a liberal twist. Two I particularly like are (1) The decrease in crime rate: I suppose it never occurred to them that this decrease is because criminals are in prison instead of out on the streets (Duh!) And the reason China has fewer people in prison in spite of the population difference... Capital punishment in China - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (2) Gerrymandering: they fail to mention that congressional districts are usually redrawn when a political party gains control of a state's legislature. Both Democrats and Republicans gerrymander, but many of today's publicly educated low information voters probably would fall for their twisting the practice as "vote stealing" by the GOP. The whole thing is a joke, but a good example of the liberal worldview.

Sorry, Pilgrim, but they most certainly mentioned that gerrymandering is done by both parties. That's something that needs to be truly bipartisan.

I think a large segment of our population gets their news from the headlines of their choice of homepage, like Yahoo. I doubt that they even have the desire to watch their local and national news for an hour. I agree, it is a very sad comment on our society.

Really? Where do they mention that:confused:
8. Gerrymandering.
When was the last time you saw a front page headline about gerrymandering?
Before the 2010 election, conservatives launched a plan to win control of state legislatures before the census. The idea was to be in power when national congressional districts were redrawn in order to fix them so Republicans would win a majority of districts.
The Redistricting Majority Project was hugely successful. In 2012, Barack Obama was elected President by nearly 3.5 million votes. In Congressional races, Democrats drew nearly 1.4 million more votes than Republicans yet Republicans won control of the House 234 seats to 201 seats.
How is this possible?
By pumping $30 million into state races to win the legislatures, Republicans redrew state maps in states such as Arizona, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Texas, Florida and Ohio to place all of the Democrats into just a few districts.
In this manner, Democrats win heavily in a couple districts and lose the rest.
In North Carolina, the statewide vote was 51 percent Democrat and 49 percent Republican yet 9 Republicans won and only 4 Democrats.
Where is your coverage of this vote stealing, "liberal media"? You're willing to cover voter ID laws, why can't you cover real vote stealing?

Really? Where do they mention that:confused:

They made it look like a Republican conspiracy rather than something that is done every 10 years after the census. Another is when they brought up ALEC saying:

"If there was a corporate organization that drafted laws and then passed them on to legislators to implement, wouldn't you think the "liberal" media would report on them?".

They never bothered mentioning that ALEC is made up of corporations AND state legislators. Gee, could it be that the bills are presented without change because the legislator helped write it? ALEC was covered by the media and complaints were made that they were a lobby group rather than a non-profit. So if the accusation is that they are lobbying politicians is the author trying to claim that liberal politicians don't deal with lobbies? Yeah, right.

In the first link, where it said "gerrymandering is usually thought of as a bipartisan offense", then explained why the 2010 Republican plan was particularly egregious.
But you shouldn't have to click the link to know it's something both sides do.
