Most carriers (except Load 1, of course) will screw you over at every opportunity

Unless your comment was in jest .....

I beg to differ ... I have Never, let me repeat that for some, NEVER had an issue with pay from Landstar, And you can take that to the bank. (I do just exactly that each week!) :D

While I do say a lot of things in jest, that was not one of them. I used "most" quite specifically in order to not imply "all". Sorry for the confusion.

"Most carriers (except Load 1, of course, and, well, obviously Landstar) will screw you over at every opportunity. There are likely a few others who will not screw you over, but most, not all, certainly, but most, will."

Happy now? :D

I'm still trying to figure out why they're ready to sue, but haven't mentioned what their owner had to say about it. They obviously feel that this extra $75 is reason to terminate their current relationship with Panther, and therefore the owner as well. I have a contractor one time that was threatening to take me to court over $17 worth of expenses that pertained to how he performed his business. He obviously had never read the contract that he signed, nor understood the W-9 that he had filled out.

Same here.....In my 1 1/2 years with Try Hours I have NEVER had an issue with my pay. Not once!

If you take 14 years at Landstar and my pay was never off, I was always paid what I agreed to with the agent.

****....never knew we'd get so much EXPERT ADVICE!
Drive By Posting, Holes in Story...call it what you want...
As for "Chain of Command" at Panther, all you "EXPERTS" out there that seems to have all the answers, PLEASE by all means, if you have an actual phone number for somebody at Panther that you don't have to go thru "Dispatch" or "Driver Relations", to ACTUALLY get to somebody higher in the chain of command there, by all means, we'd love to have it! When we call the only number we have for them, all we get is put on hold and the run around!
We have the proof of what we posted here in Black & White...photos directly from the Quallcom, and we can't find a HOLE in them anywhere!

While I don't know any of the phone numbers you're looking for,

WHAT DOES THE TRUCK OWNER SAY?

Yes, I'm yelling.

That's funny as I have spoke to Jeff gara a few times just asking to be transferred to his office phone.

Fleet Owner
Guess it is time for a reality check.
You were sent a empty move prior to the second load which you get 100 percent of. When they loaded the second run, that distance to shipper converted to deadhead which is a higher amount and paid by the carrier to the owner.
You only get a percentage of the deadhead verses the 100 percent of the cheaper EM. It is a shame that someone has to put fuel in the truck.

So as to the question of "what does the truck owner say"?
I bet he/she is fine with how it pays out. If you have a issue, you really do need to take it up with whomever your fleet owner is. I am guessing you are getting no traction with the owner because it paid out correctly from the carrier, just that you didn't get your 100 percent EM but rather a percentage of the DH amount.
Lastly, may want to go back and read the many responses again. They are actually pretty good. Your beef if there is one is with the fleet owner.

I think this one has gone on long enough. You've been advised by several knowledgeable members, including other Panther Contractors as to how to proceed. Re-telling the story will do no good, at this point you really need to get with the truck owner and work this out.
