Ok, shy of getting a damn good paying run, it's about time to get back across the Mississippi. Over 4 weeks west of Dallas driving and sightseeing. Of course now I'll probably get loads that are too good to turn down. Currently NW of LA but may head to San Diego area. SD and Denver seem to be the only major cities I haven't been thru out west, other than Boise, Spokane, or Billings.

In Jersey for a triple drop from a pick in VA yesterday. Jersey, home sweet home. OK enough nostalgia, get me out of here.

Has anyone noticed that it's free to get into NJ but there is a toll on all bridges out

Ya I noticed...just missed you, left last night...(one place in Jersey City had diesel for 1.89 but they were doing state inspection so I missed it) only charged a buck for my sprinter tho...thanks for the tips on Brooklyn everybody made it out alive with an unscathed sprinter

Only problem on trip was sudden stop for deer, ABS sensor is on order so I flat spotted the tires...thum thum thum thum

I actually volunteered for any NYC work they get...its the most fun I've had since 9 feet of snow in a 24 hour period...total chaos over there :D managed to keep off most of the Parkways and nobody with flashing lights saw me...

Delivered and even packed another one in on the way...

Wait till you get a load delivering in Manhattan at 0900 and you need to go around the block to deliver in the alley behind the building but you can't because there are 'No Turns' (left or right) so you go 12 blocks and turn left and go 12 blocks and turn left and go 11 blocks and then you can't turn left onto the alley because it's one way going the other way.

Meanwhile, it's now 11 AM because that's how long it takes to drive 35 blocks in Manhattan during rush hour and you still haven't figured out how to get to that damned alley.

Or maybe you'll get a load delivering at 0900 to the United Nations and you want to get there early to beat the traffic and pay the lower tunnel toll before 0600 so you go in at 0500 and park on the street next to the UN Building. They luv it when windowless cargo vans park right next to the UN in the early morning hours. You'll be very popular, everyone will want to meet you.
