Thursday I was sitting in Michigan thinking my whole week was going to be bouncing around that state. Then a run to south central PA, then back to OH, and now in Baltimore for a Monday morning delivery to Pocomoke City, MD. Think I'll find some beach tomorrow.

Hope it wasn't anyone here. One of my load offers yesterday was a rescue of someone who had their transmission go out while on a load.

Well that's good bob. I have to drop tomorrow night and then off to a shop who can make my hose Monday.

Two shops already looked at the hose and said "nope, no one has used that end since 1994 ... good luck finding it". Yes guido, I did check Napa - thanks for the suggestion.

It's 79 with a nice breeze outside the truck, 89 inside ... down from 98.

Can't wait until Monday, it's supposed to top 100 with chance of rain where I will be.

I swear you are dreaming these projects up..*LOL*

It's a WORK van...by the time you get it where ya want,,it'll be time to replace it....gee whiz....;)

Dreaming these projects up? Believe me, I dont enjoy doing most of this stuff anymore like I used to.There are alot better things I can do with my time than lay under a van for a weekend. But, I do enjoy peace of mind and dependability also. The only thing that I did that was not really needed in a way was the air-ride in the back. But, after having it on for a week now, there is no way I would have another vehicle without it.Totally awesome setup, every van should have one.As far as the universal joints are concerned, my freind with the same van had his go out while on the road, costing him over $200.00 to replace both. So I figured, being mine are original, replace them both at a cheap $32.00 from Napa and a couple hours of work.Sure made a difference.I just like to go down the road knowing everything is mechanically correct on the van.And I know my carrier loves that I am like that also.Since 1989, I have had only 2 breakdowns that prevented me from getting a load delivered on time. And I never failed a DOT inspection of any kind. The van only has 261,000 miles on it, so it has alot of life to it.The way I look at it is this: A vehicle is like a relationship with a woman, you only get out of it what you put into it.

How true....I seen that wv turnpike pizza...looked kinda nasty. But what choices do you have when they deliberitely put the flying J's in the middle of nowhere and since panther counts it against my drive time to go anywhere just like a truck driver. LOL Now I'm sittin at the J near buffalo.

chefd and i were there once and we ordered a special. thought about ordering a double bottom crust, sausage, and extra cheese with a lid and more cheese and sausage. maybe i should just drive down to moms and order from ginos east.
