Just sitting here at Bolt world headquarters. I spent all day yesterday fixing the front end of m van at my buddies house in Deroit. I bought the grille, bumper, bumper cover, ac condensor, marker light, oil and refrigerant for the ac all for around 450 bucks. So, I repaired 3500 dollars worth of damage for under 600 dollars. Every part was used OEM in excellent condition; I just had to drive around the country picking up the parts 1 by 1. The insurance company cut me a check for 1650 dollars; so I ended up making 1050 in profit after repairs.
The van is excellent now; you can't even tell that it was ever in an accident and it only took 4 hours to repair. Just a wench for the unibody damage and then we replaced all of the cosmetic parts. It does help when you have skilled friends in your network to help you get through these kinds of things. I simply cannot believe it was that easy to repair the van considering what it looked like after the initial deer hit. We also replaced all of the belts and tensioners while we had the front end taken apart. I've learned a lot mechaniclly these past few days. Any how, I hope you guys are keeping busy out there. I also hope you get your van back on the road soon TJP.
