So, I was about to go out of service yesterday morning, and really get involved in doing things to the van that I can only do at home, and also do some things in the yard that have been put off for a while. As I just got up from eating breakfast to go out to the van to go out of service,(as slow as it is, what could it hurt?) Mike Jr. calls with this load, Cleve to Belvidere.I am thinking, I really need the money, and don't want to turn this down, so I take it.

Of course, on the way to the pickup, I am asking myself if this was such a good decision on my part, doing this.I mean, it is Thursday, A real slow week, And the chances of me sitting are pretty good, being as slow as it is.But, then I think, Dispatch here at Load One have always surprised me when I least expected it with a load, even on holiday weekends, so this may work out for the better.

I get unloaded.#4 out of 4, bases loaded around me.I guess it's one of those things, dammed if you do, dammed if you don't.

All I can do is keep the faith in dispatch and hope for the best.

Aww heck, I think were all a little edgy right now, with it being slow and all...Open a Labatt's Blue, sit back in the lazy boy, and don't let it get to ya...It's all good..As I have learned from past experiences.

If I am not loaded by tonight, thinking of finding a campground and plugging in, and sit back and relax..But, I hope dispatch changes that as well!

Besides, with as much time as you had off, I would think the Freight vacuum's bag is empty, and ready to be filled up again!...lol..

Do a 19 for Madison Wi.....see if them vans are close to you....ya might be closest truck if they are all on the southside....you maybe in better shape then you think....

I've made as much cash in 5 months as I made in an entire year at another carrier that ends in a 1....;)

Doh... Chris called to make sure I was still in Avon Park, FL... as the QC hadnt pinged in a while. Ya ever get that sinking feeling? Yup, so tired when I parked, I left the headlights on, and had no reason to try to start it lol.

Luckily, they keep battery chargers around the retirement village here for their golf carts! In 5 minutes, one of the guys had 100 ft of extention cord rolled out and a charger on my battery!

Retired guys in FL...always prepared!

I'll do that, thanks for the fishing hole tip! Gotta take a shower, get ice, get a money order for my friends at the IRS and send it in, along with some paperwork, and then see where I am at.

I know, it's a good feeling, isn't it? I was reflecting on how much my life has changed since coming to Load One the other day with my Dad as we were talking on the front porch.I am able to do so much now, along with the bills getting paid. Taking care of so much on Mom and Dad's house that they cannot afford to do as well. It's payback time, for all those years of them taking care of me, now it's time for me to take care of them.I thank God everyday for blessing me with Load One.

Dale, you mean to tell me that the German engineered Sprinter doesn't have a headlights on buzzer? Even my American made slop bucket has one! But, I think J.C. Whitney has them real cheap.Easy to put in.

But don't feel too bad.I once was so tired from doing a run, that when I parked, I pulled the parking brake knob on the dash, and forgot to put the Allison automatic in neutral.I left it in reverse the whole time.Needless to say, I woke up, and sat up front and was wondering why the trans temp gauge was in the red.Called Allison and had it looked at, luckily, it was fine.

It does, at least mine does. Although sometimes I seem to have selective hearing
